"Okay. Class dismiss," the homeroom teacher announced.
The once quiet room starts to get noisy with the voice of students talking where to go to hang out and the rumble of chairs. As the minute pass the crowded room starts to be empty and quiet. Long enough, the assigned cleaners are the only one left and the teacher who's arranging his things. Among the cleaners are Dave and Steve who still didn't spoke any word since lunch.
"Steve can you lend me a hand with these test paper?" The teacher asked.
"Yes sir."
He walk towards Dave who is busy with cleaning the chair.
"Wait for me here," he gave the broom to Dave that he was holding.
The lad didn't answer but accept the broom bringing a little smile on Steve's lips.

"What took you so long?" Frowning Dave is what welcome Steve as soon as he entered the room.
It's already empty, there's no student left but them— Steve leaning on the chair and him standing in the door.
"Sorry, I did some errand."
Dave stands straight, take his bag and Steve's.
"Let's talk outside. The janitor will start checking the room soon," he said as he throw the bag to Steve and walk pass him.
Luckily, Steve catches it. No, it is thrown right in his chest so he can catch it.

Steve followed Dave, "still mad?"
"Hmm," he hummed as an answer.
Dave didn't see the face-palm Steve gave to his answer. They continue to walk without any voice speaking. For Steve, it's suffocating and awkward. It's so rare for Dave to get quiet waht more be mad.
"Pres I'm sorry. You're right, I shouldn't let that happen knowing the teacher might come any minute. I'll be careful next time."
Dave stop from walking suppressing the smile that's about to plaster in his face and turn around to look at him. He was stunned. Steve is avoiding his gaze, a light flush in his face.
"Cut it Dave. Stop staring and walk."
"No." Dave's voice is firmed.
"If you're really sorry wait for me in the gate tommorow morning. You know it's kinda tiring running first thing in the morning just to walk with you."
"Who told you to run? It's your own accord."
"It's because you didn't wait for me."
"Because you're so loud and people keep staring."
"I'm shouting because you're acting like a deaf. Seriously, cleaning your ears won't kill you."
"You-
"Let's not fight, okay? Don't forget tommorow." Dave cut him off and starts to run off.
"Where are you going?" Steve shouted.
"To my mom. Take care on your way home!" Dave shouted back while waving his hand.
Steve watch the figure of Dave running until it is gone in his sight before walking towards the gate.
A love story about the carefree, extrovert president and a strict, introvert vice president.
Dave and Steve were familiar with each other since their first year in high school. It all started when they become the president and the vice president of the student council. Being a total opposite of each other, teachers and students thought they wouldn't get along well. Contradicting the thought, with 3 years of being together, the two seems to get along well. The last year of their high school life, the suppressed bond that the two hide to each other exploded like a bomb that damaged a big part of their life.
