Susana
I woke up that morning and put on the pale pink dress I had picked out the night before. It was thick and covered my whole body well, and hugged my curves. My first 3 trunks of things would be the only things coming with me. I had wanted to bring so many more things. We would be reaching the new house by boat.
The maid would bring my things down to the docks. And the rest of my stuff would be sent later. I put my hair up into a bun and left some down to guard my neck from the wind. I walked out of my room, satchel bouncing on my hip. I went to the dining room. Everyone was sitting down eating. I moved and sat on Stephanie's right hand side. Liam sat at her left. A platter with a bowl of oatmeal and berries was placed in front of me.
“Are you planning to have sex with your suitors while you're gone?” Stephanie whispered. I stared at her appalled. “No.” I whispered back playfully shoving her. “You should. It's tons of fun!” She whispered back wiggling her fingers at me. I stuck my tongue out at her. “Susana I hope your ready to go.” My mother said. “I am mother. Though I wish I knew if it would be hot or cold.” “You dressed for cold, that's what I would hope for.” Stephanie chimed in. “Stephanie. “Once we're moved in you and Liam must visit. I insist.” I said. She grinned. “Then I can give you some tips, on things.”
I wanted to say nevermind but that would be rude, to withdraw my invitation like that. So, I merely nodded not giving anything away. All to soon I was done with my breakfast and loaded on a carriage heading towards the docks. I held back tears as I watched my beloved childhood home fade away into the distance. Who knows I might not get to see it again.
As we neared the wharf the air got damper and chillier. I was right to expect cold winds, but still I clenched my arms around me trying to shield myself from the wind. After getting out of the carriage holding my bag I was bombarded by my people. “Princess don't forget us!” A woman screamed. “Your Highness, pick your husband wisely.” I heard over the noise of the crowd.
Then my guards stepped forth making everyone disperse. I sighed. Fame wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. The guards led me to the biggest boat at the docks. The sound of the roaring sea was terrifying. I didn't know how to brave such daring waters. Seagulls screeched from above us.
“Ready?” Thomas asked. I nodded. He offered his arm and I gladly took it as I went up the stairs onto the boat. The boat shifted under us. I gripped onto Thomas like he was my life line. We care fully made it to the top. I honestly just wanted to go below decks and sleep the trip away. I watched everyone board after me thinking about what that person had said. I would obviously choose wisely, but why say that out of all things? The boat lurched forwards and I almost met my water grave, but someone pulled me back just in time. “Careful, I still want to marry you.” It was Edward.
Honestly he was the hottest fairy I had ever met. His hair was a dark green that I often mistook for a black. He had a greenish hue to his skin, making him look like he was a walking tree. I loved the greenness to him, even the golds and bit of blue. His eyes were always the real shock. They were a dark green with golden flecks in them, like stars in a green night sky. He, unlike many of the men, was almost tall and wiry. If it weren't for his broad shoulders you would have thought him just a boy. And this hot deity said he wanted to marry me.
“M-marry me?!” I stuttered. My heart fluttered in my chest. “Yes, marry you. Is that a problem?” I shrugged. Why was it so hard goddamn to be in this god's presence?
