Teagan
Tori wasn't taking all of this information very well. We wanted to leave. All of our things were already packed. It wouldn't have been hard. I wanted to ask Kain first. To see if it was true. It wasn't fair. Why did I always have to get broken mates? Tori and I decided if he didn't give us the answers, the honest to god answers, we were leaving.
I shifted and ran to the Waxing Moon Pack. Two very buff wolves tried to stop me. I growled at the telling them to back off using my alpha aura to push my orders. They fell back but followed me. I shifted back not giving a fuck that I was naked. I barreled into the house and growled demanding attention. An omega stepped up to me. “Do you need something miss?” I really liked this one. He didn't falter even though he was in the presence of an alpha. “I need to speak with your alpha.” I snapped. He didn't even flinch. “He isn't here yet. He is out.”
Of course he was. “When can he be expected?” I asked not hiding any of my emotions in my voice. “I'll mind link him. Can you give me your name?” I shrugged, and threw my red hair off my shoulder. “Alpha of Moonlight's Kiss. He doesn't need to know anything else.” The beta shrugged and walked away. Someone offered me a pair of overalls. It was a couple sizes to small. I just barely fit my legs in. I had to unhook one of the straps. It was way to fucking tight.
Nothing was going my way today. Kain slammed into the house. “What are you doing here? Teagan you can't show up unexpected.” He whined. Great he was annoyed with me. He had some nerve! “Now I'm not even welcome here. It's fine.” I got off the couch I was sitting on. Kain pulled me back down onto the couch. “Teagan what's wrong?” I fought the tears that wanted to spring to my eyes.
“Who's Clara?” My voice was so small. I fucking hated it. “I don't know a Clara.” That was it. “Bye Kain.” I got up and ran to the door and shifted. I trusted Tori to take me where I needed to go. I heard Clay chasing us, but I was to hurt to care. I needed to leave. I picked up my 2 bookbags from a tree. This was it. I was running away.
Kain
Who was Clara? Her name brought up sadness and regret, but I didn't know why. Clay stayed surprisingly silent. “Who is Clara?” I asked him. “Our old mate.” He responded slowly. Suddenly it hit me like a wall. I remembered her. Her short golden braids. He funny laugh, and gap. She was on 16, but looked younger. I smiled tears streaming down my face as I passed out.
