His night coat fluttered at the grim air as [ Silaferos ] throwed a massive blade on his direction. The player clad in black coat jump backwards to dodge, upon sliding his dark boots on the dirt floor, the dust scattered as he dash madly onto the beasts direction.
This player had maxed out all of his characters attribute. From the three years he dwelled inside this unknown realm, his senses had pretty much adapted into the environment, using 99% of his avatars ability with inhuman reactions to beat his enemies quickly.
"This is nothing... almost every front player in Aegis Synchro had manage to gain a second nature."
Truthfully, almost everyone had been displaying a godly skills in terms of reflex and calculation. A mere seconds is enough to create critical combos, and unleash it full strength in the blink of an eye.
And at the roar of a thunderous howl of lightning storms, the dashing black coated player swung his sword ten times in different positions, penetrating through the bare points of the demon. The Demon howled in pain as it failed to dodge the extremely fast blade works of that player. But....
In an instant he looked upward, the demon raised his four 4 meter bone claymore swords, and pinned it at ground with crimson auras enveloping its blades. But before it made contact, another large player with very heavy equipment had run forward on him. The armored player jumped forward, then clashed the incoming demon sword with his titanic shield, throwing the hideous sword backward with a high defensive skill.
"Thanks man!" The player clad in black thanked the tanky man with a grin on his face.
"Dont worry, I'm just doing my job!" The large man responded as he land hardly at the ground.
"Hey, your the solo player right? Yuro was it?" A female player shouted, she was at the back, standing on a cliff with a silver staff on her arm. She was wearing a dark red hooded robe, with a hazel braided hair under the secretive garment.
"...Yeah, Did I have some relationship with you, sorry madam but I never remember every girls I screwed in the passed three months!"
"Shut up... Only virgins say such line, but I guess youre personality suit with that face of yours." She looked coldly, but after rolling her eyes she pointed her staff on the monster and said. "Well, that doesn't matter... By the way, after 120 seconds, get out of the range... I will fire a large scale spell in that time."
"...I see." The player wearing black coat waved his pitch black sword at air, then refocused his gaze back at the ancient monster in front of him.
The Castle of Hellvalla , it was the last and hardest dungeon they will face inside the world of Aegis Synchro.
From a three hours worth of travel, using the "Godcraft Atlantris Ship" and sail north of the Phantasm Silk Ocean, they will be able to reach the Island of Ends. It was the last and largest island to conquer on Heavens Templar continent. And at the bottom of "Abyss of the End" was the underworld castle of Hellvalla, a red flag dungeon.
And at the time now, only the twenty lvl 99 players had been left at this gruesome dungeon raid. Fourteen hours before, when they started raiding the dark looming castle Hellvalla, there were a plenty number of players on their Raid party, 250 players to be precise. And now, only 20 players was left, but its more than enough to beat it on its current state.
Since it was the last dungeon to conquer, every top player suspected that the boss drop this time will be a precious one that surpass any treasure the earth had. That was why every dungeon clearing players joined the most largest raid party to conquer the castle, and from this list, Yuro slipped by without informing the raid leader.
Ironcleave of Tides, Silverclaw Revolt, Dessert Kings, QWERTY, Shadows of Shadow, Spirits Unlimited, Sacred Banner of Kings, Arc Majesty and Crush Grind Desolation, these were all the largest and strongest guilds that will lead on this dungeon raid. And each of this guild, 10 strongest players were sent, including 5 members each on other smaller guilds, so 250 in total.
Aegis Synchro dungeons only allow limited number of players to enter on a certain period of time, depending on the type pf flag it had. Dungeon gate also opens depending on their type.
Dungeon Type: Flag Color, Allowed Player, Open Gate Schedule, Reset Time
[Green] Allowed Players: 20-40 [Open Gate's Schedule] Everyday, [RS]2H
[Yellow] Allowed Players: 50-70 [Open Gate's Schedule] Working Days [RS]5H
[Orange] Allowed Players: 90-140 [Open Gate's Schedule] M-W-F [RS]10H
[Red] Allowed Players: 150-250 [Open Gate's Schedule] Weekdays [RS]15H
Back in their current situation, only 39 minutes left before the reset, plenty enough to deal with its last HP.
"Listen brave warriors. This will be our last battle, we cannot afford to lost now. Lets wrap it up with our last bit of strength!" The Ironcleave of Tides' Leader shouted, encouraging the last bit of players on the battlefield.
Upon entering the Kings Lair, the boss dungeon room, they had expected a large field room, but it was beyond what they had expected. The Demon King's Lair was an infinite space with floating fragments of large lands, in which had no stairs or ladders to connect. Thankfully, they had players who had mount items and beast that can be used to fly on each land. On the very end of this pile of unrich and lifeless ground, were the largest one, which had almost 100 of level 99 Lifeless Soldiers, level 99 Demons and one lvl 200 [Silaferos].
With more or less ten percent on the demon's hp, the final showdown was now coming at its peak.
The Demon glowed in slifer with glowing bone claymore swords, wings with flaring embers, and eyes filled nothing but clear vibrant red. It was also praparing its final attack and everyone knew it.
From the last three years they had cleared thousands of dungeons, they much more or less anticipated that it had a final move on its sleeves. To the extent that self-exploding wasn't a stretch.
"LET'S GO!"
"DIE YOU DUMB MONSTER!"
"HURRY UP! ITS DOING ITS FINAL BLOW!"
"WE KNOW IT WITHOUT YOU ANNOUNCING!"
Different players all ganged up, unleashing all powerful skills they had on their sleeves. The leader of Ironcleave attacked using a powerful lancer skill [ Heavenly Drill ] partied up with his tamed beast special skill [ Fleet Buster ]. And at the back, three marksman, holding an armament that looked like a rifle, started firing up their most strongest long ranged skill; [Death Storm] [Flash Year] [Skyline].
"AGHHHHHH!"
The final scream of weared out warriors continued to echoe as they continue theyre assault at the glowing demon. Rainbow of different long ranged skills fleeted above, creating different colors at the dim pitch black space inside the King's Lair. However, among them, the player clad in royal blue and gold armor had the most beautifulest captovating skill.
Yuro was fascinated at the sight, like he had been watching a peak of hope being displayed before his naked eyes. From Yuro's perspective, his build was similar to a male, but he wasn't that sure, after all, from head to toe, he was enveloped in majestic plate of armors, and a royal blue cape with a creamy white logo of Sacred Banner of Kings, the most strongest guild, and the most strongest player in Aegis Synchro.
His legendary sword [Ezkariant] glowed the brightest at the desloated island, with no life but pure despair on the land, the golden ray of butterflies fluttering from his blade flew and multiplied at the abyss, circling and enveloping the dim dungeon with its light. The warmth of its heavenly radiant resonated with everyone watching it shimmer, bestowing a hope at the midst of hopelessness on this battle.
It was nonetheless, the high-rank limited aegis skill [Last Hope].
"HEY DUMB SWORDSMAN! GET OUTTA MY WAY!"
Before he dillied on his own world and froze at the breathetaking sight, the voice of the previous wizard reminiscent on his mind, and without taking any more delay, he immediately pulled out and runned at the back rear.
I deeply pray
Tis God on the farthest east
on that high mountain of destruction
Please hear my pledge
wrath of the dying lighto
Surface once more and live
For I call, this sake of one
I beg you to destroy,
and burn everything
Turn all into nothing
until all is back to ashes of grim
"SOLAR UNDYING DRAKE!" The wizard enchanted, leaning her staff forward, pointing out at the monster.
The whirl of flames had multiple dragons circled like typhoon, rising from the ground, mowling the demon alive, and from large burning flames that looked like hatred of the caster, the demon was burned. And before the flames vanished, the golden lights from the legendary sword [Ezkariant] extended like a long range skill, intertwined with the bind of flames and once more slided at the Demon. And finally at last, the boss vanished as the golden lights and embers faded into thin air...
[ BOSS DEFEAT! DUNGEON CLEAR! ]
The intensive background music faded, a heavenly maiden voice resonated at the room. From the pitch dark space, it was changed into a blue vibid sky with circlet of clouds. The ground brightened as rays of light shrouded above.
The land filled of bones and demon ashes was displayed more clearly, with some corpse of players that died at the field before they respawned at the Lost Soul Cathedral on the main capital of Hazelk, located at the Racial Union Region, next before the Island of Ends.
"Is...it over?" A little child with an half-elfen ears spoke.
"I guess so," The marksman player at the side said, he was wearing a brown cowboy hat with a deserted outfit.
"Wait guys!" A man shouted, running aggressively at the field, he was a one handed sword user with a small shield attached on his other arm. "Don't loosen up, there might be a second wave. We can't let our guards down!"
"Don't move, Stay behind me." Mr Tank reprimanded without looking behind. Still, with his large shield, he steadily stood at front, expecting another huge turn at the special scenario.
Thanks to the person running around, despite the official announcement of dungeon being cleared, no one had been able to relax. In a much more worse case, they became anxious, and was expecting something they haven't experience in other dungeons they have cleared.
"Oh man... Can't believe I wasn't able to witness the final blow of that demon!" At the very corner, a man clad in black night coat spoke. "Well, it can't be helped. So, who got the drop?"
Everyone stayed silence as he asked, and as if they had been reminded of soemthing, they looked intently at each other.
"Bastard, those who first ask something is the culprit!" A player wearing a white runic with golden linings, with royal blue cape, shouted at Yuro's direction.
"Culprit!?"
"Yeah! You can't deceive me, I knew players who had been like that! From what we had signed, everyone will have a share at the treasure, no one is allowed to take it for himself."
"Huh!? Are you dumb or soemthing. I'm asking becuase I want to know who had it, and don't misunderstand me, if I really were the one, I would immediately said so. Anyways, I wasn't a member of the party raid, so I really am not binded by your so called rules."
"Huh!? Are you crazy? Then how did you--" The man's words were cutted with a sudden realization. "Don't tell me youre the rumored black reaper!
"What if I am, just for your information, I just want to continue soloing before this game is cleared. And I don't have any intentions at the boss drop, I just want to know how it looked and what it is."
"Huh!? Look? You crazy, I know you very well. From the rumors, your a scum player who take advantage of players and exploit treasures for yourself. You never cared about other players, who knows, you might even had a forvidden skill that can easily snatch display items!"
"I wouldn't deny that, in facy I'm thankful how the rumors turned out how I wated to be.... And as you said, why should I care about others? I am a solo player not a saint that give items for free."
"Your bastard!" He shouted, but before he aimed his gun and fire at me, the player in full plate armor and the wielder of [Ezkariant], stopped him.
"Captain!" He spoke as he stare at the [Ezkariant] wielder. The wielder shook his head, that meant to stop.
The man in distate clicked his tounge as he brought his gun bacm onto its scabbard. Then glared at Yuro with eyes full of hatred and disgust.
"I will apologize for his actions, but I think its not wrong to correct a very selfish person like you!"
"Selfish? Well everyone is selfish, no need to correct me... So, did are you the one who got the boss drop?"
"No, not me... But I guess no one had, after all--"
"What is that!" The half-elfen eared loli pointed high at the sky.
All players around squinted theyre eyes at the azue sky, and at the middle, a silhoutte of pristine lady wearing a very white dress with a purity in fashion. But what captivated their eyes was the large four white wings behind the lady.
"Hey? Is it just me or the halo above her is expanding?" The cowboy outfit player spoke with a horse voice.
Yuro was captivted at how perfect the body of the angel was, right, for him, the silhoutte was undeniably an angel, probably, he wasn't the only one with that thought.
"EVERYONE! SATY ALERTED!" The Ironcleave of Tides Leader shouted, and then charged at the angel with his silver dragon. Not only him, but every ranged players pointed out their armaments at the angel.
But for that time, Yuro had a hunch that the angel was bad news, but he never felt the need to charge.
And his instinct was right. Exactly right before theyre skills touched the holy maiden floating above, a golden faint barrier deflected, or rather absorbed their skills, then unleashed the same set full strength at the respective players.
In an instant, four level 99 players were once again persohed at the raid they thought had ended...
