It had been a long while since she had made an appearance before Humainekind, and even longer before a Diabane.
The look of surprise and awe, mingled with suspicion and fear was expected. She smiled at them and held up her hand.
“I am Dainzel, I come in peace.” She offered.
“You... come in peace?” The Diabane’s red eyes narrowed at her and his jaws clenched tightly.
His free hand moved in a blur and his mighty battle-axe seemed to materialise into it.
She was impressed, but not quite enough. “Yes, I do.” She said with a smile.
“What are you?” The tall, dark haired Humaine boy asked, his mouth open wide and fingers hovering above the hilt of an exquisite short sword on his belt.
“An accursed Alvaine.” The stone faced Diabane growled and took a step toward her.
“I come to help you. Stay where you are, Diabane.” She held up both hands, free of any weapon. “Yes, I am of the Alvaine... and I am a scout and healer. The injured one you carry will not survive, unless I see to those Laichanan wounds on her person.”
“Why should we trust you?” The Diabane demanded, even though he relaxed his grip on the massive weapon he carried.
“She’s the one.” One of the females suddenly said and pointed at her.
