The pup would have gone back to sleep, but he was hungry.

He yipped lightly at the huge Humaine girl, begging her to pay attention to him.

His golden eyes twinkled as he looked imploringly up to Madora.

Madora looked down at the cub and smiled adoringly.  “You’re hungry, aren’t you, little one?”
