When we finally got to the place I was out of jokes and Woods probably had a permanent pain in his side from laughing his stomach out. Just kidding. I hopped out of the car and followed Woods inside. The way he walked around told me he had been here multiple times. We stopped by the booth to get our skates. "Blades or skates?" The girl was staring at her phone. Her hair was a dark purple. So emo chic.
"Blades." I said. I turned to look at Woods he shrugged. "Make that two. Two pairs of rollerblades." Woods said. Her head snapped up. "Dylan. Dylan Woods!" She squealed. It seemed even the emo chics knew his name. "Hey keep quiet." Woods said pressing a finger to her lips. She nodded and stared at me. "Are you his girlfriend? I didn't know he was dating." I shook my head. "No we're just friends." I said. Her eyes widened in shock. "Wait. You're saying. Dylan Woods likes you and you think you're just friends! Don't tell me this is a movie set. Where are the cameras?" I burst out laughing. Movie set. No way. I shook my head as my laughter brought tears to my eyes.
"Woods doesn't like me, trust me. I don't need any relationship drama anyway." She frowned. "She just doesn't get it does she." Purple hair asked Woods, leaning towards him. He shook his head grinning. I shook my head. "I'm Jessamine. Anyway size 6 please." She nodded. "It's Blaire." She went to the back. I sighed. That girl was so determined to meddle with my love life. It was almost like dealing with De. De'andra would love talking with her.
"Size 9." Woods shouted from beside me. After retrieving our blades we exchanged numbers. Then we went out to the rink. Justin Bieber's song Yummy was echoing through the room. I changed my shoes quickly. "You need a hand?" Woods asked. I took his head to stand up. My feet almost slipped from under me, but I kept my balance. I let him go and winked as I skated away. Grinning I started to do figure eights and skate backwards. Woods quickly caught up.
"You can skate?!" He said. I smiled at him. "I fell on my ass once when I was 8 and it hurt so fucking much. I vowed I'm never fall on my ass because of shoes again." I continued to skate backwards. "That's must have been hella cute. I wish I knew you when I was 8." I turned around to skate normally. "You wish. 8 year old me avoided boys like the plague. I absolutely hated them. I still do." Woods placed a hand over his heart in feign hurt. I laughed.
