After another 10 minutes of tricks, dancing, and blading my legs were killing me. "Woods. Let's sit." He nodded. We bladed to the tables together. After taking a seat, a group of people headed toward us. For a second I thought the amazing Dylan Tyler Woods attracted a fan group. That was until I saw De'andra, Carston, Conner, and Blake among the faces. Thay sat down around us. Blake sat on my right.
"You guys took long enough. We've been wanting to sit for ages." De whined. I stuck my tongue out at her. The group was made up of mostly boys. The boy that sat next to me had jet black hair, and green eyes. He was really pale. Blake sat next to me. “Blake who’s the hottie?” I regretted my outfit again. Did everyone here know each other? Why did they think I was with Blake? I came with Woods.
“My date. Don’t ruin this.” The boy next to me rumbled with laughter. His date? We weren't dating! “She can’t be that hard.” He flashed me a smile. I almost melted, but met his gaze. He had the prettiest green eyes. His fingers grazed my cheek. I slid over, pushing against him. He smirked at me. I pulled back and crossed my arms, sticking my toungue back at him playfully.
“Shit. She's hella tempting, but definitely not interested.” “Obviously.” I snapped. “She’s a feisty one too.” I rolled my eyes. “Blake, Woods aren’t you going to introduce me to you overly friendly friends.” My voice dripping with sarcasm. “Sure. Black hair is Will. Dirty blonde Timothy. Black dyed blonde is Liam.” I nodded. I knew Carston and De. “Oh and Carston forgot to mention it yesterday, but I’m going to kill you.” I growled. Carston laughed.
“What did he do?” Timothy asked. “He might have questioned her about me. She drew me shirtless and thinks I’m an exquisite kisser.” I shoved Blake playfully. “No. I do not think you’re exquisite. You're adequate. If your vocab doesn’t stretch that far let me explain. Your kisses are satisfactory. I just like that you taste like mint.” Blake frowned. “Can I prove you wrong?” I giggled. He was really trying. “No, you can’t. I have had plenty kisses. I would be able to tell.”
Blake grabbed me, and placed his lips on mine. His tongue slipped passed my lips. I sucked on his tongue. His hands slipped down my back, and pulled me into him tighter. I was two steps from being in his lap. He bit my lip. I gasped in surprise, my eyes flinging open. I stared into his brown eyes. I put my hand on his chest, trying to signal him to stop. He reluctantly let me go. I gulped down fresh air.
“Woah. Can you give me a kiss to?” Timothy was already leaning halfway across the table. I shrugged. “No.” Timothy frowned. “Kisses ain’t free. I’m not that easy.” I snapped. “Damn, Jess. He was just playin'." I glared at Blake. “He clearly wasn’t. He leaned across the table like was gonna get kissed. I’m not going to let him do that to every girl he meets.” Blake nodded and shrugged.
“I like this one.” I shrugged, whatever. I hated his friends. “Can we order something? I’m half starved.” Woods waved over Blaire. She was pretty in the same way De was. Everything you could ever want. She made sure the boys could see her breasts as she took our orders. Timothy licked his lips in anticipation. I swallowed my shudder. “Coke and fries.” I ordered. She nodded and wrote it down. She leaned closer to Woods. They whispered to each other. She walked away laughing.
She took everyone's order then walked off, swishing her hips along the way. “So what do you do besides draw?” I looked up at Blake. Was he really that oblivious? “I dance, write poetry, and take care of my 9 brothers and 2 sisters. Oh and my mom is pregnant with twins, so I help her to.” I said with a sigh. “So you’re apart of a rabbit family.” I glared at Will. “Yes, I guess. My mom as 6 sisters and 3 brothers. I don’t even know when it comes to my biological dad, but my step dad has plenty more family.” Will nodded.
“So you thinking about have a lot of kids with Blake?” Liam was really blunt. No beating around the bush with him. “No. I don’t want kids. Ever.” Blake frowned. “Does that mean no sex?” I rolled my eyes. A definite dog. I should have known. “Yes. That’s what it means.”
Blaire came back, there was a boy at her side. He was holding a tray of food. He had long black hair and black eyes. He was my height without heels and had Blake’s figure. He made sure he caught my eyes. He looked good in the red button down shirt and black slacks. I looked at Blake then Woods. Blake was glaring at the waiter. I technically should have been doing that.
“Hey Jonah.” Carston had spoken and stopped touching De. Jonah kept looking at me. “Hey Carston.” His voice wasn’t deep, but it wasn’t high pitch and girly either. “Keep your eyes off my date.” Blake growled. My eyes fell to the table. If Jonah said one word about our past relationship, I was going to punch him down the throat. I would literally kill him without hesitation. Don't get me wrong. I wasn't hung up on him or anything, but he made some very bad decisions. Stupid decisions. He deserved to die for what he did to me. What's even worse is the fact he knows know them!
“Whatever.” He put my fries and coke down in front of me. I politely smiled up at him. He smiled tightly and stomped off. “So.” I cleared my throat. “You guys know him?” Blake rolled his eyes and focused on carefully putting ketchup on his burger. “He’s. . . an old friend.” Blake glared at Liam.
Liam was suddenly very interested in the swirling design in the brown wooden table. “No. He’s a traitor. He steals my girls and dumps them. If he thinks he’s getting you, he has another thing coming.” Blake slammed his hand down on the table. So Jonah was quite the player, but I already knew that. Jonah walked over to the table. “I’m off of work right now. Can we talk?” He asked. Carston laughed. “No.” Blake growled. “Make room, I’m not going away.” We rearranged our seats. Jonah sat on the end of the bench. I sat next to him, and Blake sat on my left. We were fighting for space with three people on one bench. Why did he have to sit next to me?!
“How’ve you been?” Jonah stared at Blake. “Fine.” Blake’s voice held no emotion. “Where did you find a hotty like her?” Jonah cupped my cheek. I pushed his hand away, and slid closer to Blake. “She found me.” Blake stared into my eyes. I smiled at him. He smiled back. “So she’s a slut like the rest.” Rage flashed in Blake’s eyes. It took everything in my not to pounce on him. “No she’s not. She kept avoiding me.” Jonah laughed. “And you charmed her to your side.”
I really wanted to leave. Why was he being such a bitch? “No he didn’t. I made a choice. Now back the fuck off.” I glared at Jonah. He grinned at me. If he looked at me one more fucking time. I swear. “I like you.” He reached for my face again. I slapped his hand. He jerked his hand back. “I really hate you. I asked you to back the fuck off. Don’t make me do something I’ll regret.” I growled. Jonah frowned and slid away from me. Did he think I was still into him? Ha, he was water under the bridge now.
“Damn Jessamine. Since when did you pull all the stops like that?” De giggled. I frowned. With my eyes I tried to tell her it was Jonah. “I pull all the stops when I’m not interested and they keep trying.” De bit her lip, trying to hold back her laughter then burst in a fit of giggles. Carston, Woods, and Blake soon followed her. “What?” I fought the smile on my lips. “You didn’t pull the stops with Blake.” Carston paused and went back to laughing.
I frowned. “He didn’t do the extreme.” I didn’t get what was so funny. “Yes, he did. He kissed you. He touched you. Jonah just looks at you and you flipped him off.” I bit back a giggle. I got it now. “Jonah is a bitch. He gets the treatment he deserves.” Blake hugged me. “So do I deserve more.” I stuck my tongue out at him. “Not yet, you don’t.” He leaned down his forehead pressed against mine. “So can I get a kiss?” I shook my head. “I’d like to eat my fries. Half starved over here.” I pulled away and pointed a fry at him. He leaned over and bit off the end. “Why’d you do that?! You have food, don’t eat mine.” I tossed the fry in my mouth. The crispy salty taste exploded in my mouth. It wasn’t bad. I picked up another and chewed it slowly.
The conversation slowly moved to school. “Where are you going to school?” Blake watched me eat my fry. “I’m going to Hals Academy.” Blake stared at me. “What?” Carston sucked in a breath. “Jonah goes to Hals. We go to Jefferson High.” I knew he went there. That was were we met. “I doubt we will have the same classes.” I grabbed a napkin and wrote down my schedule. Jonah leaned over my shoulder. “We have Homeroom, Calculus, and AP Seminar together.” He breathed in my ear. I pushed him away. “This is what I get for fighting my parents to go to a special school.” I groaned.
“That’s not to bad. You can spend time with me without your pesky boyfriend.” I groaned. He really didn’t get it. I was over him. “Let’s get this straight 1) Blake isn’t my boyfriend and 2) I do not want to spend time with you.” I took several calming breaths. I really did not want to get arrested. “Woods I think I’m ready to go.” He nodded. He eased out of the bench and I followed him. Jonah followed me out. “Wait. I’m sorry.” I shook my head and headed toward the exit. “See you around.” I heard Wood’s reassuring footsteps behind me.
