Exxone decided to get back home since the day was getting dark. After ten minutes walk, he finally arrived. A simple-shaped yet neat house with two level of floor where he used to live with his father and his uncle. He entered the house, he could smell gentle men’s scent mixed with dust since he didn’t clean the house for a while. He turned on the lights, and remembered the times when he lived there with everyone. 

“I have to move forward as well”, he mumbled to himself and reopened that book. Yes, the book who insulted the reader, he borrowed last second before kicked out from library.

Next day, Exxone is getting ready to school and checked his allowance, “Bruh, our family wealth is dried up since I’m unemployed because you guys left”, he said to himself while looking at family photos and departed.

On the way, Exxone passed a tavern and saw the bulletin board, “LOOKING FOR A COOK THAT COULD USE A MERE KNIFE, WAGE ON NEGOTIATION”, “Oho my lucky day”, Exxone applied to that tavern by filled out the registration form and put it inside the applicant box.

Arrived at the Magicna Mudrost magic school, Exxone went to the student corner and picked up student’s ID given by the attendant. Then he turned around,

“BRUGH”, he bumped with a boy taller than him and both of them dropped their ID cards .

“Uuh, where you looking at?”, asked Exxone to the boy.

“You the one who bumped me first, fool”, that boy replied with sharp eye.

“Oho, looks like someone asking for problem huh?”, Exxone threatened that gray-haired with sharp eyes boy with taunting face.

“Actually no, I’m rushing to my class right now”, then he picked up the dropped ID card and run away.

“It was so clear that he bumped me”, Exxone picked up the other card and see the content.

“Richard Domovoi, 15 years old, same first-year like me, HEY WAIT! It’s not mine!”, he rushed to find Richard but didn’t found him.

Leaving no choice to find Richard, Exxone join his class in the morning and saw the girl from yesterday. Since the seats already full and there is one seat beside the girl, he had no choice and took that seat. He could see her blonde hair from back, she releasing an aura saying she doesn’t want to be interrupted.

“You again, you have some nerve to seat beside me after what happened yesterday”, the girl said that with another sharp tone.

“I had no choice, the seat is full you know”, replied Exxone.

Today’s class is about basic mana usage and magic main principle, the lecturer demonstrate some basic skill and everyone followed along with the lesson, such as levitation magic, mana chanting technique, rules in using magic. Even though not all of the lecturer could cast any magic, they could tell us how to use it properly using great explanation.

Well yeah, it is a seldom case when someone can't use magic. It is said that the main reason why a person is can't use magic is they don't have mana as the fuel to cast magic, another reason is there is something that hold them to use their mana to come out, I don't really understand about that case, only experts do.

Also, it said that the main homeroom teacher is off to the battlefield right now with school headmaster.

“Wow,  I never learn magic before, this is nice”, Exxone mumbled with small smile after tried a few basics magic skills.

“Woah, you could pull it off better than me”, Exxone looking to Rotania using mana enhancement to fix a bended metal using her fingertips.

“I could do this much, you don’t need to be exaggerated”, she replied because she heard his mumble.

Then the class disbanded for lunch break, Exxone went out to have lunch in cafeteria. Then he went out from cafeteria and accidently met again with the girl.

“Why do I always met you today?”, she asked with disgusted face.

“Maybe we supposed to be friend after all, I’m Exxone”, he introduced himself.

“Hmmph, since I’m a humble girl, I will introduce myself as well, I’m Rotania Slavia”, she replied while crossing her hands with one eyed closed. Nice isn’t it?

“Slavia? She is from vampire’s wizard family huh?”, in his mind. “Let’s head back to class then”.

On the way back to class, Exxone talked with Rotania in the way. Mostly Rotania replied with cold and indifferent tone.

A suspicious person is watching them from afar and followed them from across hallway. This person is following them hoping not to be get caught by them. Then Exxone and Rotania walked into intersection that connected both of the hallways where this person following them.

“Oi, YOU, YEAH YOU!”, Exxone suddenly shouted and see directly to the right side of intersection where the suspicious person is following them from across hallway.

“WHAT?! IMPOSSIBLE! I just followed them for two minutes, HOW?!”, this suspicious person is shouting really hard in his heart right now. That person is sweating really heavy right now because of panic.

Apparently, Exxone shouted to Richard who was walking behind the suspicious person that time.

But, you know what’s really happened, right? If don’t, you better read the whole thing from start.

“GIVE BACK MY ID CARD!”, Exxone shouted to Richard because he is quite far so he could hear him.

“OH? YOU! THE EASY PERSON?, YEAH YEAH HERE”, Richard rushed to Exxone and passed through the suspicious person.

“I just heard something that I couldn’t let that slide just now”, Exxone retorted from afar.

The suspicious person backed off and fled in sweat. Yeah, really.

Then Richard and Rotania introduced themselves and went to class.

Second subject is potion and magic weapon, every new student received basic lesson and tried to make basic potion in class.

After afternoon class disbanded, some of the students still stay in class to hangout and chat, but Exxone and Rotania made their way to exit the school. After arriving at the gate...

“I go this way”, Rotania said.

“Me too”, Exxone replied.

“Why do you must having same way home with me?”, she wondered with annoyed face.

“You don’t live in this town alone , YOU KNOW!”, he retorted. Then they walked together.

After a few minutes walking with Rotania, Exxone feels someone watching them from afar but he doesn’t sure if that person following or just a coincidence.

“OI, Exxone, you said you just met her yesterday, now you guys going home together? Is that really JUST a friend?”, Richard is having snack while sitting on the rock enjoying afternoon tea beside a lake.

“WHAT YOU SAID AGAIN?! YOU LILTLE SCUM?”, Rotania screamed after heard Richard words.

Ignoring Rotania, Exxone approached Richard and say, “I felt someone watching me and Rotania since we left the school, could you help us just in case something happen?”, he said.

“Oh? I felt that too. Someone around here watching someone else while hiding around here, so it’s you guys that being watched.”, replied Richard.

“What? How you could know that?”, Exxone confused and surprised in the same time.

Then Richard picked up a rock and throws it to an empty lawn about five meters away from his spot. And it was a hit.

“Ouch, YOU SCUM! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? THROWING ROCK TO A PERSON?!”, that guy was furious and showed up from his transparent cloak.

“Huh? What?”, Exxone getting more confused.

That guy is wearing a black cloak with a mask and hiding his presence aura, but somehow only Richard who could see through it.

Then Richard took a fighting pose and say, “C’mon, bring it on!”
