Although things were back to normal, there was no semblance of normal. She was using social media less because he was not on there anymore. She tried to be the most considerate person he would know for him. She started to love him. She knew she would fall for those curious brown eyes. She knew she would fall for that smile.
He did not know that she already loved him a little. He would likely say it was too fast. However, sometimes life surprises you, and it had for Amelia. She did not think she would meet or fall for someone like him. He was that tall and strong.
She was everything she wanted in a future partner. Despite only being friends, they had chemistry and all. She hoped that one day he would be her future partner for life maybe. However, she was holding onto that hope for a while.
She usually doesn’t drink anything at home like juice or soda. However, she was craving lemonade. Lemonade on a winter day? Hell yeah, she thought.
She missed Dante. Sometimes she would dream of him or think of him throughout the day.
“I wonder what you think about me throughout the day,” she whispered and continued writing down her thoughts.
It was a lovely morning. She would be working that day. She had volunteered to work another shift but she hoped that some other business would respond to her so that she could work already. She needed the extra money.
She got frustrated with math but she knew will get it sooner than later. It was good that Dante wanted to help her out with homework. He was perfect. He was smart and all, but he knew himself. She wanted that confidence. Not some faux confidence she had. However, she was working on it, and he was going to be her side to help her through it all.
“Gahh, I want to text you that ‘I miss you and I want to touch you’,” she groaned inwardly as she tried to focus on her schoolwork. However, this boy had put his charms and worked his way to her small heart. She shook her head, and tried to focus on what she needed to do.
“We may see him again soon, Ame,” she tried to reassure herself. She missed him so badly. She wanted him to give a warm hug or a kiss. She wanted him to hold her. However, they are only friends for now… Whatever it takes, she still would love to do those things with him because he was the only that made her feel so happy.
“You are driving me crazy, D. You know it.”
She just let that comment be in the air for a bit, and just ignored her thoughts. Sometimes it was hard but she needed to focus on her priorities. She knew she was worth it and he would wait for her to be ready so that they could fly together.
She yawned. She had put on some makeup today because she felt confident and she was going to be interacting with people that day. She worked as a cashier anyway. She was hoping that she would not need to pump sauce but of course, it is likely what will happen since it may be slow today.
She had dreams that would propel her forward. She had dreams of becoming an astronaut. She longed to become a pilot. She loved to write and one day she wanted to become a published writer. She had dreams of becoming a pilot in the USAF. She had dreams of many things.
However, most importantly, she did not anticipate loving a boy that gets her and understands her for who she was. She was not particularly special. She had troubles and other stuff that has slowed her way, but she was glad she may found someone who would understand her on a deeper level.
“Sheesh, if I knew I’d be falling for you, I’d not get on the app,” she sighed in frustration. She never stopped talking to him. Everyday they talked some. It was the consistency that grew their friendship/relationship with each other. They were on the track of becoming best friends.
Overall, she was happy that she was thriving. Several years it has been tough on her and her family. She wanted to thrive. Now, she was literally living the best of her life at 21. It was good. She was happy that she had met Dante. She never would take any of her experiences with him for regrets. She really thought of him as her person maybe. She cared for him so much that her soul sometimes hurt from that.
“One day, I will be free, and I will be flying with you, D.”
She smiled and finished her note for him. It was going to be a beautiful day, and she was going to spend it doing something she loved.
