Kagami lay down on a hill by the sheep pen. He watched over all the animals in the field. "Didn't want to go to that stupid family festival anyway." He said to himself, annoyed. He looked out into the field and sighed to himself. "I bet there isn't even a stupid animal out here."
Looking out into the field, Kagami started talking to himself. "I bet they didn't want me there, I mess one thing up and I'm the outcast." He looked out into the field and thought to himself. 'I'm just like these sheep. They lock me up in that town and limit what I can do.' Kagami sat back down against the grass and started reflecting on everything. But during his thought, he was interrupted by something.
The silence of the night was broken, as the noise of grass, rustling could be heard nearby. He perked his head up toward the sound. He looked out and could see something moving in the tall grass.'That must be it!' He thought to himself with excitement. 'Holy crap I didn't think it was real.' He went low to the ground in order to not be seen. The creature began to slowly creep toward the sheep, as Kagami stood his ground to see what it was. 'Might be a wolf, maybe a fox too-' his thoughts were interrupted by a growl. He looked back up towards the grass, the growl was unlike anything he'd ever heard. It felt almost, unworldly.
The creature was now approaching the gate, Kagami crawling closer to see what it was. The bleating of the sheep got louder and more panicked, as Kagami heard a creaking noise. He looked over to see that a part of the fence was being torn off of the pen. The fence was thrown back into the hill with great force, barely missing Kagami. 'What the hell?!' At this moment, he realized that he wasn't dealing with an animal, maybe not even human.
Still, in shock by what happened, Kagami looked up to see something he could never unsee. Out from the grass stood a tall figure. It had the shape and body of a human, but he could tell it wasn't. Pointed horns reaching out from his head, and black hair coming from the top of its head. Its skin a crimson red with rough points and points protruding from its body. The nails of the creature were long and sharp. It wore fur and metal around its legs and shoulders. This was the most devilish creature Kagami had ever seen, so much that looking at it ram chills down his spine. As the creature walked toward the pen Kagami knew it was time to leave.
He quickly got up and in a panic made a mad dash towards the village. While running back he ran into a crow, the bird cawed at him in return. The sound of the crow perked the attention of the creature. It looked over to see Kagami running away. It roared as it found its new prey. Kagami looked back and saw the Devil, with its four eyes and razor-sharp teeth,
It was out for his blood.
As the creature began to gain on him, Kagami managed to make his way into the village. He saw as everyone was happily enjoying the festival full of food, drinks, and happiness. He ran up to everyone and with a panicked face he yelled, "EVERYONE RUN!!!"
