After the postponement of the coronation a lot of rumors started to swirl about the kingdom due to the media.

“Who gets sick right in the middle of their own coronation?”

“I think the prince had cold feet. Maybe the princess got stood up?”

“Did ya hear the story? Sky Alto seems kinda sketchy. They did have a prior failed coronation years ago.”


“I hope they’re still not considering going through with the merger.”

“If everything goes to the wayside and if Raine backs out, I don’t entrust Cirrus to run both kingdoms. Raine had the most ruler savvy and the princess hasn’t matured enough yet.”

“Based on the information in the story about the last coronation, they’re speculating Raine may have pulled an Alto! Whaaaaat?? Why would he leave?”

“I don’t blame the princess for all this. I blame the other kingdom. How irresponsible of that King’s sons to abandon their obligations to their kingdom.”

For all the rumors had not found their way back to Cirrus yet as she was sheltered away in her room for the day. Her father made it an order until he could get to the bottom of things with King Strato and the guards.

Before leaving she said, “I may leave later to visit Raine. I just want to see if he’s doing alri—”

“Please, not today sweetheart.” He stood in the giant doorway of her room. “Stay here for today, he needs his rest. Now, I must go. I have business matters to attend to...”
