The middle-aged woman strides past the hall to confront her husband about his little Rya. Billions of worries almost bury her in the ground. The way she approached him is frighteningly scary that she has to talk with him about the sudden change. She thought that they would have a good conversation and she can give some opinion regarding this matter. She didn't expect to hear such an outrageous occurrence. Afraid that the girl would claim her spot in the heirs, Duchess Vaness has been torturing and lowering her self esteem so that they can one day control the household with the power of her son. She didn't expect to hear a sudden heritage confirmation once she steps in front of the room. Her husband doesn't want to talk to her but it's a relieve that the butler told her everything. He is also one of her close companions in attempt to steal the family's power. He is sick of being their babysitter and decided to join the scheme.
"The Statue has chosen her to be the heir..." Is what he said. Vanessa supports her forehead with a glass of wine dangling in the air as her daughter retreated to her room.

"Hey, Cheng... What am I suppose to do?" The little Chinese doll palms his face in stress. "Do I need to give you an instruction to everything?" Ava laughs awkwardly still placing her eyes on the pacing man. They have been following him since the garden but can't go further as they get closer to the Duchess's room. The two have been hiding in the same spot for a while until the man came out looking aggravated. Cheng has been pestering her to gain the love meter of the male lead so that the story can progress further. To be honest, he just wants to watch some drama going around the house. There is nothing wrong with the story or how she arranged it. Maybe just a little bit of plot twist that probably will change the ending. "What are you doing! He is getting closer... Go meet him...!" Cheng says with a finger pointing to the man. Seeing the unmoved girl, he decided to push her forward. "Wooh!" Ava closed her eyes waiting for the moment where she meets the ground. But it never comes. Not a single ounce of pain crashes onto her skin. 'Wait...what?' She opens her eyes to see delicate features in front of her. Harry feels along her waist, blushing red as he noticed his action. 'Well... Here goes nothing...'
"He...hello" Harry helps her to stand steadily and forms a little cough aiming to disperse the embarrass feeling he has. Both of them stares at each other for a while before turning their vision towards something else. Ava is a blushing mess since the incident. She has never hit someone for nothing and at the same time irritated by the smiling Cheng. The little Chinese doll is smirking behind the wall shaping a little pig nose towards Ava. ' Cheng! I'll kill you one day! ' Ava screams internally while keeping up her gentle smiles.
"Are you okay?" Harry ask concerned. Ava shakes her head no and excuse herself waiting for the next action to occur. "Please wait...!" Harry stops her for ending their meeting. He wants to know and maybe they can develop a closer relationship. "May I get your name?"
"My...my name...?" She answers timidly fiddling with her long skirt. "Yes... You can call me Harry... I am your stepbrother..." He bows to show his gentleman trait. "Names... Jasmine... Everyone calls Jasmine, Rya" she returns the bow with respect. Ava knows that she cannot get into his bad side cause it will bring her to a dreadful death. Why does she need to even know his existence! She just has to complete the mission to change the fate of the original soul and find the last small mission which is her mother's locket... That's all it is...!
"Umm...Then can I call you Rya?" Ava snaps out of her emotions. "Ye...yesh...Otay..." Harry stiffened almost feels like he has a nosebleed from hearing her voice. 'No Harry, you mustn't feel this way...' He copes his heart and shook the tremblings away. "What are you doing here, Rya?" Harry looked at her in question? Is she lost? This is the Duchess territory or to be precise the side house from the main one. Perhaps..."Are you lost?"
Ava freeze in the spot. "Me... Me is lost" Ava watches the change of his expression. Oh... Does he believe that? "Then...let big brother guide you to the main building...okay?" Ava glances over Cheng and sees his thumbs up. 'You still have time to thumbs up to me!?' If eyes could kill, then Cheng would die a million times ago. Harry grip her hand softly so that he would not break her bones. She returns it with a nervous smile. 'Why do all of them think I am that innocent... Really? I'll stump on all of you one day...' Harry guides her with patience. Her legs are smaller than her body, it worries him thinking they would break from him walking to fast. He starts to reckon, don't they feed this frail skinny girl anything?
"Should we go to the kitchen first?" Harry pulls her towards the end of the main building. Ava is begging him to let her go to the secluded room but her outer self doesn't show anything and comply with whatever he wants. Harry fitted her on a seat before running into the food storage to get some fresh ingredients. After a while, he enters back to the kitchen and starts to pull out a pan and lighting the fire to start cooking...
Ava studies the man in an apron. 'I never knew you are a good cook?' She watches as he marinates the sliced beef, and pour in some oil into the pan. The way he flips the meat shocked her as fires emerged to the surface. Ava swings her legs up and down bored of waiting but hungry for food. To just watch and sit down is certainly not good but she knew that just one touch could burn down the whole kitchen. Believe her, she had tried at the base before. She turns her entire attention towards the man and notices the sparks in his eyes. He has a lot of passion for cooking but he never reveals it to anyone. During this time of life, a man who loves to cook is considered girly and weak. House works are laboured for women and men should sacrifice for war. Harry doesn't have many choices rather than to hide his passion and take over the household. He snickers remembering the word of his mother regarding this. "If I see you step in the kitchen once more... I'll take away both of your arms..." And she is not kidding, she did try chopping his arms off with an axe but he escapes and that brings him today. He has been hating his mother ever since.
Ava is dozing off when the smell of cooked meat wakes her. She starts to gobble up the meat without noticing his strange stares. "Finally, some real meat!" She licks her plate before letting out a satisfying burp. Harry chuckled silently trying to not letting out a breath. He doesn't know why but the true colour of the girl always surprised him. He even thought that her real behaviour is more intriguing than her timid one. Ava eventually realises her stupid action and covers up her mouth unhappy with the reckless action. "Are you full?...(Chuckle)" He picked up their plate and dumped them in the sink. "Ye...yesh" she stands to walk out from the kitchen but likewise, ended up holding his hand again...
"Then... let us go to your room... Do you remember where?" Ava nodded, possibly he'll let her go by herself. Yet, he still doesn't let her and keeps asking her question for ways to her room. If this keeps up, then he'll continue to bother. Shortly, his questions stop. Ava glances over the front and flinched in fear. She didn't expect he'll be here...!
"What do you think you are doing with my daughter?" Robert interrogates with a dark complexion in his eyes...
