Chapter 3- First Words
Time, oh time is running so quick
Memories shining, old and new.
The clock continues with a tick,
Unforgiving like we all knew.
Time passed by rapidly like the relentless ticking of a clock. After a month of uneventful serenity, Gabriel got tired of waiting for Michael to "forgive" them. The Archangel decided to throw a fit of such intensity that it reached the King of Angels in the form of more paperwork. Thus, to save his last bit of sanity, Michael had no other choice but to reconsider his decision. In the end, he had to give in and Heaven returned to its usual peaceful state.
Four months later, some sort of routine established itself for the four Archangels. Something Michael regretted to this day. The reason for that was quite simple. His brothers thought it would be amazing to help him take care of Sera by moving in with him. Well, that’s how he saw it at least. With the amount of time they spent at his quarters, they might as well move in with him for real.
That portentous day of a drastic accident wasn't so different. After he woke up fairly early for once, Michael tried to feed baby Sera in peace. But of course, that wasn't something easily achieved, especially not when his brothers decided to have a heated morning discussion about sadism and masochism. In front of his six-month-old daughter. At the breakfast table. While he was trying to enjoy his first cup of coffee of the day.
The King of Angels slowly closed his eyes in irritation and tried to ignore the stupid conversation topic his brothers seemed to be engulfed in. He decided to just focus on his precious little daughter for now and take care of his idiotic brothers later.
After he recollected his calm exterior and took a deep breath, Michael picked up one of the silver spoons with bite-sized meals that were specifically cooked and prepared for Seraphina. With gentle care, he reached forward and moved the tableware to Sera's mouth, watching with great joy how her expression lit up as soon as she tasted the heavenly flavor of the holy ambrosia. A small sunny smile slipped onto his features while he observed his daughter eat in such an adorable fashion, clearly in his own happy little world right now. An illusion that was soon to be destroyed by his siblings' conversation going downhill.
"How dare you spit out such insolent accusations!" Uriel seethed through gritted teeth and sprang from his seat. He glared at Gabriel, who acted as tactless as possible.
"Accusations? I never said that. These are rumors, Uriel. But considering you reacted like this, there might be a sprinkle of truth in them. Mhm. Maybe it was the part that you like to torture young women for your pleasure-"
"Ridiculous! Stop repeating those disrespectful rumors! I never did such a thing!" Uriel yelled in anger and pushed Gabriel harshly, which caused the Archangel to fall off his stool.
Gabriel yelped when they landed on the ground before they jumped back up in aggravation. "Hey! That was uncalled for! The fuck is wrong with you! I was just joking!" They exclaimed while the feathers of their wings bristled in anger. The Archangel immediately started pushing Uriel back in an immature way, too dramatic to let this go.
"Guys, please-" Raphael tried to soothe them while smiling nervously, but their little argument had already turned into a brawl. The two grown Archangels started pushing each other more aggressively, every shove turning more and more violent with every passing second.
"That didn't sound like a joke to me, you nuisance. How dare you say something like this to your brother!"
"How dare I ?! You were the one who started attacking me for no reason!"
"Guys… Stop-"
"I started attacking you ?! You were the one who mentioned these ridiculous false rumors and started picking on me!"
"Yeah, but you know as clearly as I do that you are a fucking sadist! How come I can't be worried about such bad rumors now?!"
"I thought you said you were joking! Now you believe them too?!"
"Okay, that's enough! Stop!" Raphael shouted as he jumped between them before this could escalate more. However, jumping in between two raging Archangels wasn't the best idea, something Raphael would realize very quickly.
"Oh shut up! This is none of your business!!!" Uriel and Gabriel snapped at him as their anger settled on a new focus point. Both of them shoved their brother away with such force the healer was sent flying.
Raphael crashed right into the breakfast table as silverware, coffee and food went flying everywhere. “Oof-” The healer grimaced lightly in pain when he landed on his winged back and got scooted over the table.
It was at that exact moment the spoon got knocked out of Michael's hands and landed on the ground with a soft clutter. Both father and daughter stared at the silverware in surprise before they realized what had happened. Michael smiled very angrily while he slowly turned to his brothers. His fist clenched tightly as the veins beneath his skin bulged out visibly.
"One morning. Just one peaceful morning. Is that too much to ask for…?!" The King of Angels spoke loudly while his smile slowly dropped to an enraged frown. His siblings froze up completely in their spots, feeling doom brought upon them.
"Oh, shit-" Gabriel mumbled while Uriel gulped lightly. Raphael sweated in panic as they all realized in what a bad position they were in right now.
"Just one fucking morning. I want to have just one. calm. morning." Michael growled out as his eyes glowed intensely. The ground beneath them rumbled as a small earthquake shook the palace. "So, for the love of Astria… Fuck off!"
"Fuck uff!" A small high voice suddenly called out happily, dispelling the intense momentum as everyone froze up completely.
Michael's eye twitched slightly as he paled in a matter of seconds, hoping he had mistaken this voice just now. 'Clearly, that voice must have been one of my brothers, most likely Gabriel... That's right, there is absolutely no way…' The Archangel gulped, his dreadful gut feeling making him turn his head to his daughter who seemed happy about the "funny" events going on.
"Fuck uff!" Seraphina repeated happily, her cute voice only making this situation seem more unreal.
Michael froze up completely, his eyes widening as he gaped at his daughter in complete shock. His complexion paled even more while he felt his consciousness grow fainter. The incredible shock that his daughter's first words had been of such vulgarity was just too much.
Uriel's countless eyes blinked not once but a million times as even their highly intelligent brain took a moment to progress what had happened. Gabriel on the other hand gasped while Raphael seemed like he either wanted to cry or scream in shock from hearing their niece repeat such words.
Sadly, the tiny princess seemed to be rather clueless about what words she had learned. Seraphina tilted her head cutely as she glanced from her father back to her uncles. "....Fuck uff…?" She questioned and looked back to her father with such a clueless expression in her innocent eyes.
It was at this moment, Michael did the only possible thing any sane person would do in such a situation… He fainted. And as soon as his body had dropped to the ground, complete chaos broke out.
