Train like a God

Train like a God

Feb 06, 2021

-Your training starts now…Human!

And then just like that he dropped his rope exposing his chest muscles which had tattoos extending to his back and it looks like he is wearing some sort of skirt underneath, a white one. Then he pulled a short sword from his back, the blade was pure black I didn’t know a metal that looked like this although I am holding a glowing katana after all.

He extended his left leg, centered his right one, and pulled his sword to the back, his left hand on his chest. He is right handed.

Then he lunged at me with great speed and power even the ground beneath him cracked… I tried my hardest to dodge his and I did by a very small margin, yet he cut off my left arm entirely!

I screamed loudly… it was the most painful thing I ever felt before. Now I am angry and scared.

-What are you doing!?

-This is your training human… you either die or you fight back!

-What the …

Without him giving me a second to speak he jumped up and cut my head of…

I instantly woke-up in the lake, I got out of it and saw that my body disappeared again and all that was left was a pile of blood.

I walked in and picked up my sword it was all bloody with my blood I swiped it in the air to clean it.

I turned around and stared at the guy who was looking at me with ominous eyes.

-prepare yourself!

-Wait! Wait! What is happening, didn’t you just kill me? Where is my body? Am I dreaming?

-If you want answers, then you must earn them. Human!

-Wha…

Before I even spoke a single word his sword was planted on the top of my head.

Yet again I woke up in the lake and my body was only a blood pool.

Knowing that whatever I say will change nothing as this man is determent to kill me… I accepted my fate and walked to my sword and picked it up.

-Good! Now attack!

I was already angry at him so I charged at him with all my force swiping my sword left and right at him he only evaded for a while. I couldn’t lay a finger at him…

After a while I was getting tired and he noticed it, I was standing close to him and trying to hit him, as I struck his left arm he leaped in even closer to me and parried my sword throwing it in the air then cutting me in half…

Again I woke up in the lake… I wasn’t tired though for some reason. So I went and picked up my sword which was far from my left over blood and took a stance and started attacking him again.

It has been a week now.

I am not even sure how many times I have died already, is it even death if I wake up after it?

I don’t seem to need food of sleep anymore as whenever I died and woke back up all my hunger and fatigue was gone.

I am getting better, I can survive longer as my reflexes has improved exponentially. I am not dying from a single hit anymore as my skin seems thicker as well…

For all this time I never saw any other person here even Nergal didn’t come back.

Namtar didn’t talk much, he only gave some instructions on how evade the attack that just killed me.

Nearly 6 months has passed

it should be summer now yet, the weather doesn’t seem to change here. I have improved in a huge way. My battles with Namtar are taking hours now. My movement, reflexes, power, and endurance all are better now I can feel it.

It has been a nonstop routine of swinging and evading until I die, then it starts again…

Nergal hasn’t come back yet and still after all this time I couldn’t spot a single person near us.

.

.

.

After a long struggle with Namtar I lost my footing and got killed, yet again I got out of the lake and went to pick up my sword and then I took my stance and started the fight again…

Namtar leaped at me and swept his sward under on my legs, I jumped on it and kicked him. He backed off for a second then jumped at me again this time with an overhead blow that I dodged then I immediately attacked him with a stab that he escaped and fashioned a counter attack which I dodged as well

.

.

.

We kept going back and forth for hours it felt like Namtar wasn’t holding back, neither did I of course… I started getting tired as the lake only regenerates my usual stamina and doesn’t make it infinite for some reason, so as I was evading and attack I tripped and fell and Namtar didn’t hesitate for a second he leaped at me trying to give the final blow to this battle yet, I wasn’t going to take it so I rolled on the side of his attack and stood up the I rushed at Namtar who didn’t have time to alter his stance or even dodge me… I pushed him on the ground in put my sword at his neck, I really wanted to kill him but I wasn’t sure what will happen to him if I did that.

-… I win, now i want answers!

“Bravo”

A strong Voice took me out of my focus, I turned around and I saw a figure of a man nearby. He was somewhat far from us but he seemed to have seen our battle, after hearing him Namtar leaped from the ground walked to him…
