- Head in dawn*, we’re leaving.

We were outside, preparing and packing things up for the looooong trip. We were off to the Ice tribes. They were the only ones in this world who had complete answers to how we could beat those skunky NightShifters. We’ve heard that these, “Nightshifters”, were as powerful as hell and that they were also the cause of the fire that night. I didn’t necessarily take it seriously, but the ONLY thing I took seriously was defeating them. And If they were the cause that my parents died, they would pay for what they did.

We left early in the morning, almost at dawn. King Nero offered us Theropods** for the trip instead of horses, cause he knew horses couldn’t survive the cold. He gave us Anoraks*** and snow pants specialized to keep us very hot when we get there. Long knee-touching winter boots and Para-Snow goggles****. He gave us every tool we needed to make it safe, over at the Northern Lands*****.

When we packed everything we needed, we then headed towards the Northern lands, on our Theropods, and traveled quietly.

We were halfway there when Mar’i broke the silence:

- Oh wow. I feel like, as we more as we get closer, it also gets gradually colder.

- Yeah. I remember when I was little, my parents organized an alliance with the Ice Tribes. So we traveled all the way here and I can tell you, it gets colder on the way. Answered Presila.

- But why do we have to go to this “Ice Tribes”, in the first place? Why can’t we just beat their ass up when it’ll be time? I asked impatiently.

- Because...we would’ve done so if we knew they were as powerful as mice. But this is not the case. In fact, they're as powerful as...the Empress herself! Answered Presila.

- Which level are they? I asked.

- Outstanding, God-like, Magic (Dark). Added Presila.

- …

- That’s now from now on, we gotta stay strong and train harder. We always gotta be there for one another and we always gotta stick together. Do you understand this, Fierin? She firmly announced.

- …

And that’s when we headed towards one of my darkest most traumatizing experiences. That battle between us...and these “NightShifters”.

Head in Dawn* = is a quick expression we use in The Dragon’s Whisper Universe to say, “Prepare yourselves, we're leaving!”

Theropods** = Special ancient creatures that permit you to travel fast, and in any atmospheric conditions. They are quite medium in size and are as quick as a horse.

Anorak*** = Special jacket the Northern Lands created.

Para-Snow goggles**** = “Para” means “against”. So “against”- snow goggles. (Think of it as your typical ski goggles.

Northern Lands***** = A.K.A Ice Tribes. They are a bunch of different tribes, but that specialises in Ice and snow. They live far up, in the mountains, where nobody could disturbed them. They are severely asked by different kingdoms, an alliance, because they are like the “archive” kingdom, full of written predicted prophecies and very useful top-secret, but dark, scrolls and spells.
