After dinner, all of Xyeang's and Maie's children walk off in the same direction.
'You know you're going to get beef with my husband for not having me home before nightfall,' Maieing says without looking back.
'I'm not scared of him, I gave him his power,' Xyeang replies jokingly.
'Where are they off to?' I ask.
'To their quarters, all their bedrooms are connected to the same hall. So they are probably going to catch up on all the things mom and dad can't hear,' Maie says and a smile creeps onto my face.
'So Larimar, will you stay the night or do you have to keep going?' Xyeang asks and Maie looks at us confused.
'What do you mean? The tree hasn't been cursed yet?'
'That's right Maie, but I didn't come here for the tree in the first place. I had a different reason to come to the kingdom of the east. But I see now that the problem with the tree is quite bad, so I've put my best friend onto it. So I can stay until the tree is cured,' I lie. I don't want them to know that the true reason that I came here was because I saw their son in my visions. I can just use the tree as a cover so I can help both Yinu and the tree.
'Are you sure? You were dead set on the importance of your quest,' Xyeang questions.
'Indeed I am sure, from tomorrow onwards I will help you with the tree,' I reassure him and he sends me a delighted smile.
'Thank you, my friend,' Xyeang says and Maie nods in agreement.
'Now, let us show you to your quarters, of course, you're free to roam the castle as you please,' Maie informs me and I follow them to my room.
They each open a giant door that leads into my room.
'This is our guest quarters, I hope it's to your liking,' Maie says and I step into the giant bedroom. The stone walls are aligned with beautiful tapestries and bookshelves that are filled to their maximum with books, the cherry wood floor seems brand new and in the middle of the room a giant bed. Standing on an even bigger white rug.
'I think I'll be just fine,' I reply perplexed and Maie giggles.
'Now then, the door on the right side will take you to your bathroom, if you need anything you can always come to us, one of our children or you can ask one of the servants,' Maie explains and I turn around and nod.
'Breakfast will be served tomorrow at nine. Have a good night’s rest,' Xyeang informs me.
'Thank you, sleep well,' I reply and they close the doors to my room.
I let out an exhausted sigh, walk over to the bed and let myself fall onto it.
My mind cannot explain what is going on. First of all Yinu, the moment I saw him I was sure he was the one from my dreams. But I can't recall what the guy from my dreams looks like. Furthermore, I don't know why he would need my help. He seems to have enough people around him to help him. I just hope that I'm not mistaken. But secondly from what I know of the tree of rinse is that it can't get sick due to natural causes. But why would- My train of thought suddenly gets interrupted by a knock on my door. I get up from the bed and walk over to the door. I open the door to see a shy Yinu standing in front of me.
'I am sorry to disturb you. But if you don't mind could you please tell me more about the angels? I am very curious,' Yinu asks me in a quiet voice.
'Oh my sisters are also very curious, not just me,' he quickly adds and I can't help but smile. 'Of course, I'll answer all of your questions,' I answer and a smile beams onto Yinus face.
'Great, follow me,' Yinu says and the two of us walk through the empty and quiet hallways.
'So Yinu, tell me more about yourself,' I start, trying to get a better vision of him and why he needs me. He raises an eyebrow but begins talking.
'Well I'm the youngest child of my parents and that is basically because my mother really wanted a son. I was born in a special way, blessed by the rays of a full moon. At that moment it was decided that I would be a moon priest. A high honour that is only reserved for the ones blessed by that moonlight. But not everyone that is blessed by the moonlight manages to become a moon priest.' So that's what he needs my help with! To become a moon priest.
'I got my title of a moon priest a couple of days ago, I even got marked by the moon, something that hasn't happened in thousands of years,' Yinu continues. Then what does he needs my help with?! I think to myself.
'Are you okay? Was I boring you with my story?' Yinu asks with a concerned look on his face.
'Oh no, I was just thinking to myself how I've never met a moon priest. It's an honour,' I say trying to cover up my real thoughts and Yinu smirks.
'The honour is mine,' Yinu replies and we arrive in a giant circular hall filled with doors. The hall has many couches, chairs, cushions, stuffed animals and plants.
'Watch this,' Yinu tells me and whistles a peculiar tune. Within seconds the doors fly open and all of Yinu's sisters gather in the circular hall.
'Oh you really managed to bring the handsome mage over,' one of the daughters says walking over towards me and grabs my face in her hands.
'Indeed very handsome,' she adds.
'Fei, leave the poor man alone, he has had a hard enough day already,' Maieing replies and Fei releases me; 'I was just toying with him, why do you have to be so serious all the time?'
'I'm sorry, Fei has a peculiar sense of humour,' Maieing tells me and I reply with a smile.
'Oh yes, sit down, thank you for coming over this late. You truly didn't have to but Yinu just kept talking about you,' Svin tells me and I sit down on the armchair that seems to have been placed there just for me. It's across from multiple sofas, seats, poofs and even a long chair. The children take place as if every single one of them has their designated place.
Ying whispers to Svin as they take their places but I can still hear their conversation.
'Svin, I can talk for myself just fine.'
'I'm just helping you out a bit because a big sister needs to help her younger brother.'
'What? What do I need help with?'
Svin giggles as Yinu stares at her with a look of confusion.
Ying takes place on the long chair and Svin sits down on the poof next to it.
We sit in silence for a moment before Vyin begins; 'I'll start, why we're there angels in Sequbox?'
'Well I can not tell you the exact reason but let us just say that the angels were there on a mission,' I reply and whispering emerges in the room.
'What did you have to do with the angels?' Svin asks and the whispering immediately quiets down.
'Well, I came to help one of my friends who was associated with the angels.'
'What did you do in the fight?' Liang asks.
'Not much actually, I can not really do much with my limiter,' I reply and they all look at me puzzled causing me to snicker.
'I will explain. Long ago I made a deal. A deal with powers that control the universe. They gave me eternal life but in return, they had to put a limiter on my magic. Since the longer you have to study the stronger of a mage you become. On top of that, I became their vessel. Meaning that they sent me to intervene so that they don't have to get involved.' I explain and they all seem to understand.
'But then aren't you disobeying them by not completing your mission?' Maieing asks perplexed.
'No, this isn't by their instruction. They actually rarely ask me to do anything,' I lie.
'But are their still angels in Sequbox?' Yinu asks bringing the topic back to the angels.
'Well, I should say that I am not allowed to answer that question. But that basically confirms that there are,' I reply and with that the clock chimes that it's midnight.
'By the moon!' Yinu exclaims quickly running into his room and my eyes follow him confused.
'He has to pray to the moon at midnight,' Maieing explains seeing my confusion.
'Every night?' I ask perplexed
'No only during the new moon, it's one of the chosen of the moon's responsibilities. But it's the first time he has to do it so that's why he probably forgot,' Fei explains.
'Or it could have been because of this,' Svin says with a grin on her face.
'Svin how can you think this is funny?' Dollance asks perplexed.
'Well sisters I think it's time for us to let Larimar sleep, you must be tired,' Maieing basically shuts her sisters down in a polite manner.
'Thank you so much Larimar, do you need someone to walk you to your room?' Vying asks.
'I will be fine, thank you,' I say and get up out of my chair. I wish them a good night’s rest, they do the same and I walk back to my room.
