Turtle Detective

Filler episode (ch2)

Filler episode (ch2)

Feb 07, 2021

(Note: This is a filler episode. A random event of Turtle detective. This episode is more bizarre and random than any other episodes of the series. If you like crazy and absurd humour, then I hope this episode should entertain you.

The main plot starts from next episode.)

One day, he was investigating this case of an island that was causing a ship to fail which was returning a large haul of illegal beer. The combination of old wood, wet ships and the pressure of the alcohol made the beer spoil, hence the failed smuggling job.

He had found traces of a smuggler called "Red Nose Dan" and his hideout, but as he was about to enter it, he found that it had been attacked. The place was a wreck and the police had been called in to investigate.

He entered the hideout through a secret entrance, but he found no trace of the smuggler. Then he found a blood trail. It was leading up the stairs to the upper level. At the top of the stairs, he found... nothing. Not a sound.

The police had arrived and were calling for him to come out, but he had found something. He looked around, sniffing the air. He could here the silence.

Then, a voice came out of the darkness. "You Sniff too much."

As soon as he heard the voice, he could smell the speaker. It was someone who had been here a long time. "I could tell you were a detective at the smell of you, so save the act."

The detective had a good idea who this person was, but he wanted to know for certain. "How did you know I was coming?"

The figure stepped out of the shadows. It wasn't a person at all, but a puppet held up by strings. A vent carried the voice from somewhere in the ceiling. "You're the Turtle Detective, right? I'm impressed. I knew you'd be coming here as soon as you left that dump you call a home."

"Who are you?"

"I'm the person you're talking to. Don't you recognize a voice when you hear one?"

He got a bad feeling about this. "So, you've been following me?"

The puppet shook in anger. "Damn right, I have! I've been following you for years, trying to find out everything about you, so I can finally get my revenge. And I think... I think I'm finally ready for that."

"Revenge? What do you want with me?"

"Who do you think?!" The puppet was almost screaming at him by this point. "I've been watching you since you were a child, trying to solve cases with your adorable little K-9. I'm your oldest and greatest enemy."

"Ragnor? You're Ragnor?"

The puppet nodded. "The inventor and constructor of K-9. I've hated you since before you were even born!"

"Well, that's... thoughtful. So why Ragnor and not another name? Why not Elizabeth? Daniel? Henry? Alexander? Phuck, I don't know, why the hell not Renaldo?"

The puppet continued to shake in anger. "Because I'm not Elizabeth, Daniel, Henry, Alexander, or any other boring mortal name! I am Ragnor the Vengeful, and I have waited a long time for this moment."

The detective didn't want to get involved, but he could see he was already involved.

He looked at the puppet. "Alright, Ragnor. Since you've made your feelings clear, what do you want to do? Revenge? Make a deal? "

"Damn all of that!" the puppet yelled. "I want to destroy you!"

"Ragnor, I don't have anything. You know that right?"

"I don't want anything! I just want to watch you suffer!" the puppet yelled.

"Watch me suffer?" The detective could feel his anger rising. "You're no help at all, Ragnor! What the hell do you know about being a detective anyway? No offense, but I thought you were just some stupid kid's project that went wrong. Look," he continued, calming down a bit, "I can hire more people. I can also rebuild. It's going to take me some time, but I can do it. You, however, are a nobody."

The puppet's anger seemed to disappear. "I... I had a nickname when I was young. People called me Q. Q for Question Mark. I liked that nickname. Q-9 was the robot you see before you, and he was my friend. We solved mysteries together, had adventures. We saved people. We were optimistic and happy. I don't want to destroy you, I just want to watch you suffer. I want... I want my old life back."

"Your old life." The word seemed to echo in the room. " You can still continue it. What does it have to do with me? " says the Turtle detective.

"I want you to... to give me my old life back."

The detective ran out of ideas. "I can't do that," he said.

"Then I want my old name back." Ragnor replies "You can't have it. That's your name, not your real one. You're a youth without a name, a child without a past, an optimist without a future. You are me without the memories, me without you."

"I don't understand," says the detective.

"Please," says the puppet, "I just want to be me again. I want to be happy. Can't you give that to me? Just this once? Pleeeaase?"

The detective stared at the puppet. He wanted to help it, but there was nothing he could do. It's just too nonsense to even comprehend. The absurdity of a crazy fool.

"I can't do that," he said.

"Then I don't want to live anymore!" Ragnor cried, and he burst into tears.

The puppet was a marionette, and the strings that allowed for its life were cut. It fell on the floor, broken and lifeless.

"Oh my God," whispered the detective. He was horrified by what he had just done, but there was nothing he could do.

The puppet was just an object controlled by Ragnor from distance. The real Ragnor was still in the lab.

The detective entered the lab. He found Ragnor sitting on his chair, looking at his creation, still as a statue. An empty glass of water standing on the table.

"Ragnor!" the detective shouted. "Come on, snap out of it!"

Ragnor slowly turned his head to look at him. His eyes were dead and couldn't focus on anything.

"Ragnor, what did you put in the water?"

No reply.

"Ragnor!"

Ragnor's eyes stared at Olaf, empty and souless.

"Please, Ragnor. I need to know. What did you do?"

Ragnor was still. He stared at his creation, and said one word: "Goodbye."

The puppet had broken. Its strings had been severed, and it fell to the ground, lifeless. The detective looked at Ragnor as if to stare him to death.

"You're not going anywhere, mister," the detective said. "I'm taking you in."

The detective wrapped his hands around Ragnor's neck. He started squeezing.

"No, wait!" Ragnor said, struggling against the seat belt to get out of his seat. He couldn't get out. He looked at his creation, at the puppet that had broken its strings. The puppet couldn't talk, it couldn't defend itself.

I see what you did there with Daniel and Elizabeth- *gets shot*

But this chapter was fun! Lots of random things happening and giving a lighter feel to it. xD

A combination of comedy, occult detective, mystery and Dungeons and Dragons style action packed series.

Turtle detective is not a turtle that wears a hat and uses a magnifying glass to solve crimes, it's a turtle that drinks a lot of alcohol and uses vulgar words in attempt to solve crimes.

Turtle is not a hero. He is not a sidekick or a narrator. He is not even a "work in progress". Turtle is an idiot. His incompetence usually solves the case.

Bizarre tales of the Turtle detective. Crazy surreal comedy.

Story will start to get gradually coherent and plot consistent from the 3rd chapter and onward.

It has mystery, action, ghosts, monsters and many more.
Join the adventure of Turtle detective.

No explicit adult scenes. The mature tags are either for cussing or gore.
