Together for ten years, Kholwa Snowdrop married Carson Cox in church surrounded by supportive family and friends, sent off to Napa Valley for their honeymoon with her mother's prayers after them.
The prayers worked for about a year. Working as Jr. Biotechnologist with the promise that when the twins were a little bit older, Kholwa would've the chance to go to medical school but with the twins being 5 this year, she was slowly beginning to acknowledge she mightn't get that chance.
Money. Money and time were precious. They couldn't rely on her Mother all the time as it was sometimes shameful when she, a 25 year old mother wife found it difficult taking care of her family.
Kholwa might've given up on her dream but Taekwondo was the only thing keeping her from snapping. Including, clubbing and plastic surgery whenever she could gather enough.
At this point when she and Carson were no longer facing each other while sleeping and having the barest intimacy, she'd had butt lifts, breast augmentation and eye enlargement plastic surgeries.
Sharing upstairs of her mother's four bedroom Cape Code home, Kholwa was certain their marital problems could be heard. Carson's careless behaviour was getting out of hand.
"You wanted children but taking care of them is a hassle for you? I'm working my butt off but all you care about is what? Gaining experience to take over the restaurant? When would that be?!"
"Don't turn this around on me! We both wanted children. I didn't pressure you to have the twins, did I? We both decided." Carson shook his head at her tantrum, having the guts to think he could end the conversation by walking towards the bathroom.
"I can't be killing myself here, Carson. A receptionist job pays better than whatever rubbish you've got going on," she hurriedly interposed between the door and him. "If it's finding a job, I can refer you to a job recruiter I know."
Scoffing, Kholwa saw the moment Carson's expression hardened before pushing her away from the door, swiftly locking her out before she could react.

Kholwa Snowdrop paid fifty thousand CAD in alimony to Carson Cox, the Judge's final stroke of unintelligent ruling split custody rights between them. Rage, regrets, solemnity filled her in the courtroom but for the sake of her children who had to reconcile with the harsh truth of Mommy and Daddy's separation, Kholwa held herself from attacking him.
It'd do no one, especially herself any good. Left alone by her mother, Kholwa cried her eyes out—her backstabbing memories going far back to fourteen years old. Carson's nervous smile, the first time they held hands, and oh, she full-on bawled remembering their first kiss.
Their wedding vows meant nothing now. Twelve years together, three years married severed by a couple misunderstandings, multiple miscommunication and triple miscomprehensions feebly glued together by weak familial connection. How could she've failed in her marriage?
Kholwa had been so sure. She'd been ready to save them through couples therapy but Carson was strictly adamant. How could he just look away? Twelve years happily together. Had she been nagging him too much? Did she never appreciate him?
Months later, Kholwa opposed her assessment of her marriage the first time she met Has To Be through a planned blind date by Barbie and Sarah. Sarah who was the epitome of disastrous relationships and Barbie the queen of one night stands.
Kholwa was smitten immediately. His cool laughter and focused eyes adorning his healthy, sexy hunky body made her temporarily forget the battle she was fighting with Daffodil's weak heart; a genetic disease he unfortunately got from Carson's side of the family.
Has To Be, Kholwa rolled his name off her tongue effortlessly, finger thoughtlessly caressing her slender neck. Has To Be had the appealing characteristics of a healthy body that wouldn't make his offsprings weak. A better package with his profession as a Gunnery Sergeant in the Marines meant he was financially stable.
