Life waits for no one and the tide of time kept changing. The week the twins graduated from secondary school, Clematis moved out of the house in a daze, his snickerings trailing behind.
Chrysanthemum and Daffodil on the other hand hadn't been explicitly glorious when they too moved out.
Most of her children made Kholwa Snowdrop worried with their study course interests; the combative Clematis studied Informations System, the genuine kindhearted Chrys Arts, the materialistic Daffodil studied Finance.
When Mazus informed Kholwa he wanted to go into Dance, they'd their first vicious fight. She hadn't been concerned for Chrys choice of study but dance was dreadfully difficult to earn a living from and most were underappreciated and/or obscure.
For a full year, they didn't speak. It might've been the distance she kept with Mazus. Or how Clematis and Daffodil preferred staying away with flimsy, bald-faced excuses that her skill at being a Taekwondo black belt got the better of her when her co-worker pranked her chair with bubblegum she assaulted the poor man into broken limbs.
Charged with assault and dishonourably sacked, Kholwa profusely cried to a visiting Mazus but cold-shouldered Clematis, iron-willed against his crystal clear hate of her; the audacity at which he blamed her for whatever bullshit he was facing in his life was stupefying.

Six years without a reliable job after her one year stint in jail, her husband Nicolas Thomas divorced her without an explanation, going as far as brainwashing Petal into leaving with him. A year in prison taught her nothing for if not for Petal dragging her back, she'd have killed him.
"How dare you? How dare all of you?!"
"Kholwa..."
"Don't you dare Kholwa me," shoving Petal away, Kholwa got into Nicolas drawn-out face. "I took care of you, sheltered you. Loved you, gave you everything. How could you just divorce me?"
Sympathy curtained his face. "We've been having issues for some years now, Kholwa. We've tried, haven't we?" holding onto her shoulders, Nicolas looked down on her, eyes clouded with the absence of love for her. "For ten years we've toughened it out But it's no longer working."

Kholwa was done crying over men, the 58 year old slim-faced woman fumed. Men who remarried like it was nothing. Her emerald earrings dangled as she turned her head in the mirror. The other women easily had nothing on her. Not beauty or money or a big family.
Kholwa Snowdrop made the local news when she became charged with conspiracy to murder Nicolas wife but thanks to McDonald&Cote Law Firm, she was found not guilty.
Her luck must've ran out because the following year when she tried a hitman again, the bastard ran away with her money.
Mazus beautiful bride, Audrey Chan must've a shitload bucket of blessing because even though Kholwa Snowdrop was caught red-handed again, she was found not guilty represented by the shady, powerful McDonald&Cote Law Firm.
Audrey Chan mustn't be happy in her two year long marriage because this time to the public's merry, Kholwa Snowdrop was found guilty for plotting to murder her ex-husband, Nicolas Thomas.
