~Malissa~
“I thought that you all were going to end up being homeschooled! Because, well, you are all losers!” She said.
“Malinda, stop it. We have to get to class.” I said.
“Come on, Malissa. Has your sister turned you into a broken version of herself?”
"Nope, she made me a better version of myself, now move."
"Ohhh, I see you got some witts now, huh?"
"It runs in the family, come on. I know another way to get to class." Maddy said. "Nice to see you, Malinda."
As we all walked off, I stayed silent. I did not want to talk about this situation at all. I really don’t like Malinda.
I just have a bad feeling that she is the new neighbor. And now I feel like she is going to make my life basically miserable with her around! I just know it!
~Maddy~
Ever since that encounter with Malinda in the hallway on the way to class, Malissa has been silent. I know that Malinda hurts her, but she hurts all of us too. Even though she does not do it personally, it just hurts that someone would do that to another person.
I don’t know why. But it does.
Anyways, when we got to the class that we had the first block, we went inside and sat in the middle row next to each other.
As we waited, I heard the door open and close multiple different times. I did not look up, and neither did Malissa, Jake, or Ally.
“Good morning class.” The teacher said. “My name is Mrs. Walker, and welcome to my math class.”
“Let’s get to it.” Mrs. Walker said. “Today will just be an assessment for me to figure out where you are in math so that I can customize the curriculum for the majority of your‘ needs’.”
As Mrs. Walker started to pass out the packets, I took a pencil, and when I received my packet, got to work right away.
Most of the math questions that were in the packet were all pretty familiar to me, but there were some that I was not sure how to answer. But I tried my best, (like I always do). I am still pretty confident that I answered the majority of the difficult ones correctly though.
Once I had finished going through my answers (purely to make sure that I answered the majority of them correctly), I heard Mrs. Walker say,
"Okay, class. The lesson is almost over, please wrap up your packets and pass them to the front, and I will give you your homework to have done by our next lesson on Wednesday."
I quickly wrapped up my checking, and gave it to Mrs. Walker, and grabbed the homework packet. It was surprisingly large, but that is okay.
"At least I will be able to focus on this tonight instead of thinking about Malinda." I thought as I sat back down at my desk, and put my things in my bag.
When the bell rang, I quickly walked out of the classroom and waited for Malissa, Ally, and Jake.
I checked my schedule to check what I would have next while I waited, and saw that I would have Music Appreciation.
"Yes!" I silently said to myself. I did not have to bring my ukulele to school today, because I remember there being an email from the Music Appreciation teacher that we would no have to bring our instruments to class for today, because the majority of the lesson will be getting to know each other, and going over what we are going to do during the semester.
And don't worry, I checked to make sure that the email actually came from the teacher, and it did. So there will not be any humiliation by Malinda and her friends.
As I put my schedule back into my backpack, I looked into the classroom and saw that Malissa, Ally, and Jake were no longer in the classroom.
"I guess that I will see them during lunch." I thought to myself and walked to class. "They could have darted out of the classroom so that they would be able to get to their next classes on time, in case they would get lost. This high school is massive!"
