Enjo woke up pretty early to check on the Girl. She still hasn’t woken up, but she’s breathing, and her heart is beating, so he wasn’t very worried. Still, he made sure to check up on her, and, just to be sure, he wasn’t gonna leave his Apartment today, in case she woke up. He then said to himself,
“...Why do I care.” Enjo said. “I just have an urge to stop her Pain…”
He once again had no answer for himself, so he made breakfast. Just some Cereal. He’s a Minimalist. The Girl groaned a little, startling Enjo a bit. He walked over as she opened her eyes. She seemed scared, until she realized she was wrapped up in a blanket, and her wounds were treated. She looks at Enjo, seeming absolutely terrified.
“How are you feeling?” He asked, still seeming a bit cold.
She very nervously responded, “I-I...I’m...f-fine…m-m-mostly...”
“What’s your name?” He asked, handing her a bowl a cereal, which she hesitantly took.
“M-my…” She hesitated at the thought of her name. “Gomu...Gomu Yawarakai…”
“Huh...doesn’t Gomu mean Rubber?” Enjo asked, scratching his neck a little.
“I...I think so…” She said, starting to calm down. She tried to stand, but felt a sharp pain throughout her body. “AGH”
“Hey hey, hold it.” Enjo said, helping her sit back down. “You’re far from healed yet. I’m gonna die something, just don’t panic.”
A Small Flame appears in the palm of his hand, which startles her. After a few seconds, she calms down, and says,
“Y-You’re like them…” She said, with a shaky voice.
“If you’re talking about those guys who beat you to a fucking pulp…” Enjo replied, and continued, “They might have Mascots, as well, but I’m different from them. I’m the leader of a new Yakuza.”
“Ya…kuza?” She asked. “What’s that?”
“Basically Japanese Mafia.” He responded, running his fingers through his hair. “Though I don’t have the power to do as I please yet.”
He slowly and gently took the bandages off of her, careful not to move any sore spots. The bruises and swollen spots have already started to disappear thanks to the ice, and the Broken Bones stopped hurting, thankfully. Enjo put on some fresh bandages as she watched him work. She seemed confused as to why he’d be helping her, like she hasn’t seen Kindness before. She asked him,
“Are you...nice?”
“Nope.” He responded. “Just hate seeing people in pain, unless they deserve it.”
