I walked in, seeing the room was empty. I sighed, walking to the bathroom to take a shower. I turned the water on hot, taking off the hospital gown and letting the water run over me. I washed myself, getting out soon after and putting on undergarments and Adrian's shirt.
Looking at the clock, I was that it was 4:13.
I climbed onto the bed, grabbing the book I've been reading. Tho lost in the book, I was exhausted and fell asleep after reading a few pages.
I woke up, sensing my mates presence. He was standing in the doorway of our room. I gave him a quizzical expression.
"How do you expect me to stay mad at you when you look like that." He grumbled.
"W-what do you mean?" I asked.
"Nothing." He said, walking to his side of the bed. "I can tell you're tired, get some sleep. I'll wake you up for dinner." He said, starting to change his clothes. I nodded and closed my tired eyes again.
It didn't take me long to fall asleep again.
I woke up to someone stroking my head. I squinted my eyes open, seeing Adrian's face. "Dinners ready." He said, getting off the bed.
I got out of bed too, starting to walk to the door before I heard him growl. I looked back at him, slightly fearful. "W-what?" I asked nervously.
"Change." I growled. I looked down at what I was wearing.
"Right, sorry." I said running to my dresser, putting a pair of pants on and a new shirt.
"Better." He nodded in approvement as he opened the door for me.
"Thank you." I replied. We walked down to the kitchen together, I was about to go sit by Liam and Kate when he gripped my hand.
"Sit by me." I nodded, following him to the head of the table. This time there were two chairs instead of one. I sat down beside, looking down.
The table started filling with other pack members. I got up to use the bathroom, and it all was going well and quiet until the doors burst open. Everyone's eyes shot to the doors.
Stacey was standing there, her face read, partially from her anger and partially from the blood.
"Shit..." I mumbled.
"Stacey what happened." Adrian demanded as she started bounding towards me.
"This bitch." She said raising her hand , getting ready to strike me. I flinched and closed my eyes, bracing for impact. But it never came. I opened my eyes to see Adrian gripping her arm, his face red with anger. Stacey cried out from the pain in his iron grip.
"A-adrian b-baby let go. What are you d-doing." She said.
He growled. "Don't call me that." He let go of her arm. "What the fuck do you think you're doing."
"B-babe she attacked me!" She cried out, pointing at me. "Do something!"
'This shameless whore! Can you believe her!?' Oma cried.
I ignored her, more focused on the growing anger of my mate. I started shaking, fearing what would come next. He sensed this and turned to face me, causing me to flinch.
"I-" I started to say before he cupped my cheek.
"Do not fear me mate." He said looking me in the eyes.
Stacey flinched at his words. I looked over to her, seeing her face growing paler by the second. "M-mate?" She squeaked out.
Adrian glared at her. "Answer me now. What happened." He said, trying to keep his composer.
"I told you she attacked me! You should you reject her right now! You already know we belong together!" She yelled.
I growled lightly in jealousy.
Adrian walked over to Stacey, crouching before her. He cupped her cheek, which only my made my jealousy growl. "Sebastian." He called. Sebastian immediately came to his side. "Check both of their memories. Find out what happened." He ordered.
"Of course." Replied Sebastian.
Adrian got up and walked to me. "Follow Sebastian, I'll see you all in a minute." He said, walking away.
Sebastian pulled Stacey up to her feet. "Come on Samantha." He said. I followed him and Sebastian out of the dinning hall, feeling everyone's eyes on my back as we left.
Sebastian lead us to a room, that was mostly empty except a few couches. "Sit ladies." Sebastian ordered. We both sat on different couches across the room from each other.
"Who would like to go first?" He asked.
"I'm not going first!" Stacey exclaimed.
Sebastian sighed, but walked over to me. "Ready?" He asked.
"W-will it hurt?" I asked him.
"As long as you don't try to keep anything from me it won't."
"How much will you see?" I asked. "L-like will you see just what happened...o-or like my whole life...a week?" I asked nervously.
"I can see your whole life if I wanted to." He stated. "Which I think is a good idea anyway, saying we don't know much about you and this is the quickest way. Is that alright with you?" He asked. I nodded slowly. "Good, this will only take a minute."
I nodded and closed my eyes as he put his hands on my temples. Suddenly my eyes rolled to the back of my head. In the short life span my whole life flashed before my eyes, reminding me of a tragedy that I wish I wasn't forced to relive.
But it ended as fast as it started. I was back to being fully awake, Sebastian's eyes looked into mine, a small glint of sorrow, along with deep surprise flashing across his face. "Thank you Sam, that was very helpful."
I nodded my head.
He walked over to Stacey and did the same thing, except after about 5 seconds, she screamed. A minute went by, and I could sense she was in a lot of pain. But soon after another thirty seconds or so Sabastian stopped and pulled back. "Stacey I said it wouldn't be painful if you didn't try to hide anything." He sighed. "Alright now come with me to see the alpha." He said, starting to walk down the hall as we followed him. The whole way there Stacey looked nervous.
Serves you right. I thought.
Soon we arrived at his office. We all walked in and sat in the chairs on the other side of his desk.
"Alright, show me what happened." Adrian ordered.
Sebastian walked up to him, putting his hands on Adrian's temples, transferring the information to him. It took a moment, but once he was done he looked absolutely livid.
"A-adrian baby it wasn't my f-fault. Look what she did to me!" Stacey exclaimed.
He stared at her, his eyes pitch black, veins popping out of his neck.
"You are going to regret everything." He growled.
