Nico and the Sparda family went to Dante's office. He was shocked to see that the locks were changed and he couldn't get in. He was ready to kick the door open, before Trish answered the door with the gun in her hand. She put it away when he saw Nero and Y/n.

-Dante?! – she yelled shocked before hugging him.

-Hey there. – he said chuckling. – I need Alastor.

-Alastor? What for? – Trish asked surprised.

-Our little Y/n needs a proper sword. – he answered.

-Come in. – she said. They all walked in Devil May Cry office.

Dante looked around the room. It changed a lot. He went straight to the chest where he kept Alastor and opened it. The sword lighted up in blue lightings. Then it flew right in Y/n's direction on its own. Dante ducked in the last second. Y/n caught it in his hand and got electrocuted by the sword. Nero was ready to jump to his son and take the sword away, but he was stopped by Dante.

-Nice toy. – smirked Y/n and put the sword on his back.

-Consider it a present. – said Dante. – I told Mundus to pay a visit to my son if he ever same back, but my brother's grandson would be okay too. Kick his ass from me.

-And from me too. – added Vergil patting Y/n's shoulder.

Time skip

The group spread in different directions to clean the city out of demons, while Y/n was taking care of Mundus. Nero couldn't stop worrying about his son. He killed small and big demons in the past, but he didn't have powers. Killing Mundus wasn't the job for him.

Y/n went in the hell gate and looked around. This was a place where two of his family members spent twenty years. And from where his family was coming actually. It was the closest he ever been to his family story. It was both exciting and a bit frightening. After all he had demon blood in his veins, more or less.

-SPARDA! – Y/n heard the loud voice. He turned in its direction to see a huge spider, spiting fire while speaking.

-Nope, just a relative of his. – sighed Y/n and took Alastor in his hand. – Come, I have a demon to kill and a pizza to eat.

-You are powerless. – it said laughing. – It will be me killing you.

-Are you kidding? – chuckled Y/n.- My mom is way more scary than you. Time to step on the bug.

Y/n jumped on the spider and slashed aiming at his head. He had to duck a lot, cause it was spitting fire all the time. Keeping distance by shooting didn't help much, so all he could to was trying to kill the spider with Alastor.

-Shit. – he cursed when he couldn't jump high enough to get on top of the spider, even using the walls. Frontal attack was too dangerous, coming from the back was almost impossible, cause the opponent was too fast. – How am I supposed to kill Mundus if I have trouble with that bitch? – he whispered panting, before he ran again, cause the spider was already jumping on him again. The thought of a failure scared him. His family would have to fight if he lost.

-This won't end like this. I need more power! – he gritted his teeth and jumped again with a battle cry.

He realized he was fighting not only for himself, but for his family and the other people, even for the assholes who was hurting him in the past. He was a legacy of Sparda, there was no way he could lose. Not now, not ever. His eyes shone red and jumped in the air. This time it felt like it was higher. Alastor lighted up and covered Y/n in his power. Y/n slashed the spider in half with one hit, then landed between the two pieces, that started melting immediately.

-What the hell was that? – he muttered and saw his eyes in the reflection in the Alastor's blade. – Whatever. – he shrugged and put Alastor on his back. He made his way further, not sparing a thought about the strange feeling after his small awakening.
