Y/n stood up after a small break he took. According to his watch he was in hell for three days now. Y/n started walking slowly, getting bored with the constant fighting. It was even starting to irritate him more and more with every wave of enemies coming his way. He was slashing them without problems, it felt way too easy for him. Some demons were appearing, then stepping away from fighting him, as if something was stopping them, or making them rethink their actions.
After another long walk he reached a huge room with marble walls and floor. At the end of the room there was a statue sitting on the throne. It looked like the statue of Mundus from the Mallet Island. Dante told him the whole story, including how he met auntie Trish. Y/n took Alastor from his back and walked up to the statue.
-Well well well. – said Mundus. – The history repeats itself. Wait. You're not Dante.
-Nope, how dumb do you have to be to not to see it earlier? – asked Y/n. – I let one of your servants go to warn you about me. Didn't he make it?
-I killed him.
-That's a relief. – Y/n let out a chuckle. – I was worried that I overdid the tortures.
-Nonsense, you're too weak. – laughed Mundus. – I wanted Dante here, but if killing you is the way to motivate him to come here, then so be it. Then I'll come for your family and the rest of your kind, worthless human. – Y/n whistled at Mundus's words.
-Threatening my family? Now you've really crossed the line. I'll choke you on your own demise. – said Y/n as his eyes turned red.
-Big words of a small weak human. – answered Mundus standing up.
-Oh hell no, you're not going anywhere piece of shit. – growled Y/n and suddenly he felt like a passenger in his body. – Shouldn't have pulled my devil trigger.
His arms covered themselves in blue and red scales, but he didn't know that not only his arms changed. His whole body turned into something inhuman, until the blue, twisted horns grew out of his temples. Y/n jumped in the air, almost at the height of Mundus's face and grabbed his head with huge blue arm. He felt the urge to squeeze. It was a sadistic urge to crush Mundus's head with his bare hand. His eyes shone brighter as he squeezed. As the stone broke to pieces under Y/n's strength, he shot the cuts with Alastor in his other hand. He was cutting Mundus's body, destroying the stone and then hurting the flesh beneath it.
-Where the hell do you think you were doing? – said Y/n in inhuman voice. – Trying to send me in the space just like you did with Dante? Our fight won't be long, cause I'm not letting you take the lead. No one threatens my family and walks away freely. – Y/n gave one last squeeze and destroyed Mundus's head. - Be gone scum.
The statue fell on the marble floor. Y/n changed back into his human form, staring at the body. Even though it wasn't moving Y/n was far from leaving it like that. He knew that if he did, that bastard might come back. Plus he wanted a devil arm of his own. He started cutting Mundus in the pieces. Then he burned the pieces and on that moment a small while light came out of the remains of Mundus's burning corpse. Y/n grabbed it and watched it as it turned into a weapon. Or so he thought. Instead he received an armor, using the power of lightning. Alastor combined itself with the armor perfectly. Y/n could shot the red lances from his gloves as well.
-Hmm. Interesting. – he said, turning on his heel.
He walked out of the marble throne room as it started to crumble and disappear. The hell behind the gate remained unchanged. Y/n didn't feel tired anymore, although he was before the fight with Mundus. He didn't meet a single opponent on his way back to the hell gate. It was all too easy, but at the same time he had a serious battle behind him.
-I guess the story really repeated itself. – chuckled Y/n. – Mundus got his ass whooped by Sparda, then uncle Dante, then me. This time he won't come back though. The story is complete, and hell won't forget this demon's power.
