-How much? – asked Y/n. He was sitting on the couch in the living room and Nero just started the conversation about the prom. Y/n was more focused on the game he was playing than on the matter his father wanted to discuss. The thing that pissed him off the most was the fact, that Morisson didn't talk to him directly about it, just confirmed the whole thing without asking him.
-How much what? – said Nero confused.
-How much do they pay for this? – Y/n cleared out. – It's a job from Morisson and my time has the price. I'm not wasting it among spoiled kids from rich families for free. I prefer a good battle.
Nero knew it would be like this. Morisson took it more as a favor than a job. He knew his son perfectly, so he knew he will look for every possible way to refuse. The smirk on Y/n's face revealed that he predicted the fact that the so called job will be for free. He didn't even have to read Nero's mind to know it.
-I'm not getting anywhere. – he said keeping that smirk. – It's a waste of time.
-Morrison already confirmed that you will go. – Nero decided to try a different approach. – The girl is probably picking the outfit already.
-Since Morrison confirmed it without asking me, then he may as well go there himself. – Y/n chuckled in response, knowing perfectly well that he won. – That's none of my concern.
-Y/n Sparda! – yelled Vergil making his grandson jump in his seat. – How can you disrespect the young woman like that? You disappoint me. – he said – You're going to the prom with her, more, you will dress up, go to her house and accept the invitation with a charming smile on your face. Understood?
-Y-yes sir. – answered Y/n still shocked at Vergil's outburst.
-Nice. – said Nero and called Morisson. – Thanks dad.
Time skip
During the next days, Y/n tried to find a good reason to not to go to the prom with Patty's daughter, but Vergil kept putting him back in place. He even made him actually go to that girl's house and accept the invitation in person. He didn't talk much to her, she turned out to be quite shy, much to Y/n's surprise. He expected a spoiled princess who always had to have her way. Still he was not pleased with the perspective of spending his time on the prom, with people few years younger than him.
-This is getting hopeless. – he sighed playing on his console. He had about two hours before he was supposed to pick Hannah up.
-Y/n! – he heard Vergil's voice. He looked up to see his grandfather walking in the living room. – Come with me.
He led Y/n to his room and gave him the black pants and a white shirt to wear. Y/n went to the bathroom and got changed without a word. When he went out, Vergil styled his hair back and took a step back to examine Y/n's looks.
-Something's missing. – he said. After few seconds he walked up to this wardrobe and took one of his blue coats. – Put this on. – he said handing the coat to his grandson. Y/n sighed and did what he was told. Vergil nodded at Y/n's outfit and let him go to the living room. Nero was chilling on the couch, while Kyrie walked out of the bedroom to see her son.
-Damn – said Nero looking at Y/n.
-You'll have all the girls swooning over you. – added Kyrie, straightening up his collar. – Now it looks more in your style.
-Thanks mom. – smiled Y/n.
-Holly shit. – said Dante walking in the house. – Two Vergils, can the world handle it?
-World yes, but can you? – asked Y/n with a taunt in his voice.
-We'll check it some other time, here are the keys to my car. – he said handing Y/n the keys. - Scratch it and you're dead.
-I'll make sure to check out the backseat and test the rear suspension, thanks. – chuckled Y/n.
-Y/n! – scolded Kyrie.
-I was joking. – Y/n rolled his eyes. – See ya all later. – he said and walked out of the house. He jumped in Dante's car and drove off.
