Eva walked in Dante's room to wake him up for school. It was a first day of high school, a big day for every teenager. Eva shook her son gently to wake him up, but he only groaned in response, begging for five more minutes. Eva sighed and pulled him out of the bed by his leg, told him to get dressed and headed to Vergil's room. She went in the room silently only to find Vergil buttoning up his blue shirt.
-Good morning sweetie. – she said and kissed his temple. – Come for breakfast once you're ready. – she said softly. Then she went back to Dante's room to make sure he was getting dressed. – Dante!
Vergil sighed. Dante always got more attention than him, mostly because he was getting in trouble all the time. Vergil on the other hand was silent, obeyed to his parents and did all he could do not to worry them. They had enough problems with Dante anyway. Because of that though, he never felt like a number one to someone. But he would never admit out loud that it hurt him.
After getting dressed he went to the dining room to get a breakfast. His father was already sitting at the table, reading the newspaper.
-Good morning dad. – he said taking a seat.
-Morning Vergil. – answered Sparda. – Is Dante already awake?
-When I walked out of my room mom was still yelling at him. – answered Vergil as he started eating.
-I'll take care of it. – said Sparda and went to Dante's room.
Vergil sighed again, as he ate the breakfast alone. This was the daily routine for him. He was in the middle of his meal when Sparda finally dragged Dante to the dining room. Being a demon he had a little bit different attitude towards raising kids than his wife. Dante sat down next to his brother and seeing the time, he started eating quickly. Vergil finished his food first, thanked his mother for the meal and waited for Dante, as they always went to school together.
Time skip
Vergil looked around the gym hall. Dante and him were standing with their new classmates as the principal was talking about how happy she was to welcome new students in her school. Dante was already whispering to some girls. Vergil rolled his eyes and turned his attention to the others. They were all...average.
-You may now head to your classrooms to meet your class teachers. – said the principal and the all students started crowding to the exits of the gym hall.
Vergil sighed and watched at his brother disappeared in the crowd as well. Vergil decided to wait until most people left and then he followed after them. He looked for the classroom number 6 and walked in.
-Vergil, over here! – yelled Dante, surrounded by girls. – I keep a spot for you. Girls, this is my brother I told you about.
Since Vergil couldn't find any other empty spot he had to sit with Dante. He sighed and took a spot next to his brother without a word. He couldn't care less about the attention he was receiving from girls, they were asking him questions all the time.
-You stole my spotlight. – chuckled Dante.
-Keep your mouth shut. – answered Vergil crossing his arms against his chest.
The teacher walked in the classroom, making the students sit down in their seats. Vergil didn't listen to him much, the first days of school looked the same everywhere. Then someone barged in the classroom.
-Look who decided to finally honor us with his presence. – said the teacher seeing the student he knew all too well. He was the one who failed that boy after all.
-I just decided to skip the principals blabbering. – he answered and walked to the back of the classroom. – Move, it's my spot. – he said glaring at some guy. – What are you looking at, should I move you myself? – growled Y/n seeing the boy was too scared to make a move. When the teacher tried to interfere, Y/n only glared at him too. – Want to have your tires slashed again?
The poor student stood up and brought himself a chair from the other classroom. Y/n took his seat and glared at the ones who dared to look at him. The teacher continued his speech, dismissing Y/n's behavior. After all, he knew the things he was capable of. With that the first day of school finally ended.
