-Son? – Chloe was shocked. – Lucifer, you don't have a son.

-I beg to differ. – said Y/n leaning against the doorframe. Chloe looked at him, searching for some similarities between Y/n and Lucifer. The suit he was wearing, his posture and eyes left no doubts. He was definitely a younger copy of Lucifer.

-Wow, that must be hard to deal with Lucifer on daily basis. – said a male voice, coming from behind. – Took your time coming to work.

Y/n turned his head and saw Pierce. Y/n widened his eyes, seeing his true face. He looked at Lucifer and wanted to say something, but he figured out that maybe Chloe didn't know that his father was a devil.

-I was spending time with my son. – answered Lucifer glaring at Pierce. Y/n felt the heavy atmosphere that was brought by him. – I'm sure you two had your fun too.

-Please calm down dad. – said Y/n patting his shoulder. – I guess you wanted him here cause you had some case to solve.

Chloe was surprised with Y/n's behavior. He had some kind of sass in his behavior, but at the same time he seemed collected for his age. She wasn't sure if she could let Y/n help them out, but Pierce nodded his head. She held the documents to him, and let him get familiar with the case. Once he was done he put them down.

-Can we talk to the victim's brother? – he asked.

-His statement is right here. – said Pierce pointing at the case papers. Y/n just rolled his eyes making Lucifer smile.

-I have some questions that were not asked. – he said and glared at Pierce. – So?

-Call him please. – he said to Chloe and left her office.

Y/n smirked triumphantly and waited for the witness to come. He sat down on the chair in the interrogation room and asked to leave him alone with the witness once he was delivered to him. Y/n leaned back in his chair with his arms crossed against his chest and smirked looking at the victim's brother.

-So. – he said. – What is that you truly desire? – asked Y/n looking in his eyes.

-That's my boy. - Lucifer grinned, while Cloe shook her head.

-I...want to...be more successful than my sister. Since she's gone now I won't have to listen to our parents comparing us...Finally I'm the best... - he kept talking as Y/n held the trance longer. – I don't regret getting rid of her.

-I think that's enough. – chuckled Y/n and watched as Chloe arrested the man. Lucifer ruffled Y/n's hair as a praise. – Let's grab something to eat. – said Y/n and walked past Pierce. – I need to talk to you dad.

Time skip

Y/n and Lucifer were sitting at one the tables in the fast food restaurant. They ate their food, before Y/n started the conversation.

-Something's off with that Pierce guy. – he said.

-I know. – nodded Lucifer. – His real name is Cain.

-Cain? As the biblical Cain? – asked Y/n surprised.

-Yeah. He's immortal and I tried getting rid of him, but that's not that easy...- answered Lucifer. - Plus Detective is all over him for some reason.

-You like her. – smirked Y/n.

-I don't, I just care for her...as a friend.

-Dad, how can you try to convince me to believe that, if you don't believe it yourself? – Y/n chuckled and finished his fries. – You have feelings for Detective Decker and only a complete numbskull wouldn't notice.

Lucifer sighed and didn't argue with Y/n. There was no point of denying that, Y/n was a smart kid after all. Y/n drank his soda and stood up along with his father. They got in the car and got home. When they walked in Lux, they were welcomed with a heavy party going on. Y/n wanted to go to his room immediately, but Lucifer wanted his son to socialize. He pulled him to the bar when he noticed a familiar face.

-Linda. – he smiled.

-Hi Lucifer. – she greeted back. – I haven't seen you in my office lately.

-I was quite busy. – he answered. – Please meet my son, Y/n.

-Son? – she blinked shocked.

-Yeah. – smiled Y/n. – Y/n...Morningstar, the unknown son that even my father didn't know about.

-That's interesting. – grinned Linda. – You can come to my office for a talk anytime. I'm a therapist.

-A devil's therapist? – chuckled Y/n. – That's interesting indeed. I will gladly pay you a visit from time to time.
