Anakin got his kids ready to school surprisingly easily. They were finishing breakfast when they heard the honk of the car. They looked through the window and saw the familiar black Aston Martin. Anakin and the kids walked out of the house. Luke and Leia ran straight to Y/n, while Anakin stayed behind to lock the door.

-Y/n, will you come to our house from time to time? - asked Leia.

-Yes, and give us a ride? - added Luke.

-Kids, please refer to him by Mr. L/n. - said Anakin, a bit worried that Y/n might get offended.

-Don't worry about it Anakin. - Y/n only smiled as he started driving.

-Then let it at least be uncle Y/n. - argued Anakin. - They are too young to be so direct with you.

-That's not my decision to make. Leia, Luke, can I get promoted to your uncle? - asked Y/n looking into the rear-view mirror. All that he got in response was a loud YES! from the twins.

Anakin and Y/n chuckled at that. The rest of the ride went in comfortable silence. Few minutes later they arrived at the school parking lot. Luke and Leia thanked Y/n and wished him and their dad a good day at work. Anakin and Y/n did the same as they got back on the road.

-Interesting thing happened when I gave the report to the boss yesterday. - started Y/n.

-Elaborate. - nodded Anakin.

-He said that he asked Lance about it and that it was nice of us that we agreed to help him. - he said.

-You're joking. - Anakin widened his eyes.

-Nope. - Y/n shook his head.

-What a prick. - cursed Anakin.- Anyway, I have to get my car running somehow.

-Don't worry, we'll do it straight away. I have a new spark plug to your car. - smirked Y/n.

-How... - Anakin wanted to ask, but he got interrupted.

-My father has owns a car parts shop. - explained Y/n. - And since I have some experience with fixing cars, I can do it easily.

-You surprise me constantly. - said Anakin.

They arrived at the parking lot. Y/n rolled his sleeves up and opened the hood of Anakin's car. With few skilful moves the spark plug was changed and Anakin could start his car at first attempt.

-Nice. - said Anakin as Y/n was smirking, proud of his work.

-Pleasure's all mine. - he answered. - Now let's go.

Anakin and Y/n went in the building. They headed straight to their office and started the computers. Y/n grabbed a coffee for both of them and they were ready for another boring day at work.

Time skip

Anakin and Y/n went out for lunch. They went to the restaurant near their office, most of their workmates were already there. After the food was finished there was a time to pay up.

-I'm paying for both of us. - said Anakin, getting his card out.

-You don't have to. - said Y/n, reaching for his wallet.

-You fixed my car and helped me out with my kids, I owe you. - argued Anakin.

-Next time I'm paying for both of us. - answered Y/n with a small pout on his face. Anakin was confused why, but he found it adorable. But for some reason it felt right.

-Okay, whatever. - nodded Anakin. - Let's head back.

Y/n responded with a nod as they got up from their seats. They walked back to their office and got back to work. At least Y/n did. Anakin got distracted by his thoughts. He was wondering what was it, that made him feel so good around Y/n. He was confused with himself. He found Y/n attractive for some reason, but he always thought that he preferred women in the romantic way. Yet when he thought about Y/n he felt familiar feeling of butterflies on his stomach. Something he felt only with Padme. Was he falling in love with a man? He hoped that it wasn't a case, because he remembered what pain he felt when he lost his love. He never wanted to feel such pain again. Anakin felt conflicted about it all, so he decided to leave it for now. He focused on work and cleaned his mind off of thoughts about his life.
