Anakin couldn't wait until Friday finally came. He was feeling anxious, like a teenager who fell in love for a very first time in his life. He wanted the date to be perfect, but he was afraid that every restaurant he would pick wouldn't be good enough for his rich boyfriend. He even looked up the internet to find a good place for a date with reasonable prices.
-This is ridiculous. - he said to himself l frustrated. Luke and Leia were already sleeping, so he had some time for himself.
He was sitting in silence for a moment, before the idea hit him. It was simple, easy to arrange and guaranteed them some privacy. Anakin smiled as the idea settled in his mind.
Time skip
For the whole week Y/n tried to find out where Anakin was taking him. All he got to know though was that he should wear something casual. Both of them were waiting for the Friday night. Once it finally arrived, Anakin got everything ready and drove to Y/n's house to pick him up. He got out of the car and sat down on the hood, once he was in front of Y/n's gate. He wanted to look calm, but on the inside he was shaking. Soon he saw his boyfriend walking up to him. Black pants, a f/c shirt and a black leather jacket. Anakin always thought that Y/n looked great in a suit, but in this set he was out of any scale.
-Like what you see? - smirked Y/n, seeing Anakin's reaction.
-Very much. - answered Anakin, trying to cover up his blush.
Y/n pulled Anakin closer by his hips and kissed him. Anakin returned the kiss right after their lips touched. They kissed and held each other for a moment before they finally got in Anakin's car.
-So where are we going? - asked Y/n.
-You'll see. - answered Anakin as he statrted driving.
Y/n pouted at his response, he was hearing it for the whole week after all. His patience was rewarded few minutes later. Anakin parked the car by the lake in the park. It was getting dark, so there was no one else around, but them. Anakin grabbed a basket and blanket out of the backseat. Y/n smiled widely, understanding Anakin's plan.
-How adorable. - he said. - I can't remember the last time I had a picnic.
-I hope you like it. - answered Anakin, setting the blanket on the ground, closer to the lake.
-The scenery is beautiful, we are here together... - Y/n wrapped his arms around Anakin's waist. - I would be a dumbass if I didn't appreciate it.
-I was worried that it would be too simple for you. - sighed Anakin.
-Sometimes the simplest idea is the best. - smiled Y/n and pecked his lips.
They sat down on the blanket. Y/n looked up at the sky, while Anakin unpacked the food out of the basket. Once he was done, he glanced at Y/n. The moonlight was shining on them.
-You're beautiful. - said Anakin. - O-or should I say handsome...-he shuttered. - You know what I mean.
Y/n chuckled lightly.
-Thanks babe, you look breathtaking as well. - he answered. - Moonlight suits you.
-I could say the same. - smiled Anakin.
They ate some sandwiches, enjoying the moon reflecting in the water of the lake. Y/n laid down on the blanket and once more looked at the stars.
-You seem to enjoy the sky. - smiled Anakin.
-I do. - nodded Y/n. - I used to look up at the night sky every night when I was a child. It was calming.
Anakin laid down next to Y/n, but it wasn't enough for his boyfriend. Y/n pulled Anakin closer, so his head was resting on Y/n's shoulder. Anakin relaxed feeling Y/n's hands play with his hair. It was so long since he felt someone doing it to him. Then Y/n kissed his forehead, nose and pecked his lips.
-I love you. - whispered Y/n, earning a wide smile from Anakin.
-I love you too. - he answered and hugged Y/n tighter, never wanting to let him go.
