3rd POV-
A male sped down the street in his car. His (e/c) eyes angry and sad as he glared at the clock. Going way above the speed limit, he even went through 2 red lights, but he didn't care. Nothing mattered. Nothing except for him. His life and world.
Soon he was at the hospital. He jumped out the car and raced to the front desk and demanded for the room number. He got there and he slammed open the doors.
"I may not live to see our glory."
He raced to the brunettes side and his world shattered. The freckled boy he loved was sitting there, barely conscious. Looking up, John smiled weakly his lips trembling. "(Y/n)...you came." He whispered.
"But I will gladly join the fight."
"John." Words escaped (Y/n) at the moment as a choked sob came out and He collapsed next to his bed on my knees. "Why did you have to do it?" The beautiful man chuckled and winced before speaking, "You know I'm always the good guy."
"And when our children tell our story."
"But what about Leo?" The (color)-ette said barely above a whisper," I can't take care of him alone." John reaches out and and caresses the other's cheek. "You'll do fine. You always do My Love." He said and another smaller smile came into his face. The beeps of the monitor beside them getting more spread out.
"They'll tell the story about tonight."
The two stayed like that for a moment as tears ran down their cheeks. "(Y/n)?" The male asked his eyes dropping and getting very, very tired now. The two locked eyes once more. "Tell Leo...Tell him, I died a hero. For me, alright?" (Y/n) wasn't able to get his words out and so he simply nodded, his tears getting heavier.
The beeping got slower and slower. Looking at the dying man, (Y/n)'s eyes stared at him in such sorrow that John managed enough strength to pull him closer. "Remember, this isn't goodbye Love." John said,as always trying to lighten the mood. Even on his deathbed. "This is just an 'I'll see you later'." A snort escaped the other's lips as his tears finally stopped falling, but still in his eyes.
"Ah, there it is. Can I get a smile my Dear?" The freckled male asked. His voice so soft and his eyes almost closed. If you looked closely, you could see the life draining out his eyes. A smile soon was placed on his face and John laughed. "I love you (Y/n) (L/n)."
"I love you too John (L/n)."
And his eyes finally closed.
A few weeks later
(Y/n) stood near a grave. Near him, holding his hand was a very cute boy with dark brown curly hair and freckles. Perfectly complimented by his (e/c) orbs. The father stared at the grave and a small smile was glazed over his face. It was shaky, but it was still there. After a few more minutes of silence, thunder was heard, and then the man spoke up, "Its time to go Leo. Say goodbye to Dada." Letting go of his hand he went to go find their umbrella nearby.
A figure soon materialized by the grave and squats down in front of the child. John ruffles the boy's hair and gets a giggle. "Leo, can I ask a favor of you?" Nodding and smiling, John laughed at his son's enthusiasm. "Take care of Daddy for me, okay? Be a big boy." With one more nod, John kisses Leo's forehead and disappeared smiling wide.
(Y/n) came back soon after and opened the umbrella just as the drizzle started coming in. Taking his hand, Leo and (Y/n) started to walk away. "Did you say goodbye?" (Y/n) asked. Turning around, Leo looked at his Dad's grave and saw him again leaning over it. "Bye Dada!" He yelled out, waving his small chubby hand. John waved back with a smile.
Many years later
Leo stared at his Father now bedridden. Giving his child a smile, he leaned up and wiped his tears away. "No crying now, you hear me?" (Y/n) said with a smile. Leo laughed at his Dad's stubbornness and then bit his lip. "It's not all bad. I'll see your Father there." His eyes soon look glossed over and he speaks again, "It's been such a long time." Leo nods and holds the man's hand.
"That's right Dad. You'll see him again." Leo said in a comforting tone. "Leo, you know we always loved you, right?" The curly haired brunette nods, tears threatening to fall again. "Now, we can watch you together and see how you grow into more of a man." (Y/n) said, his voice getting quiet. After a moment he spoke again as he felt his time waining.
"I love you Leo. And I'm proud of you." Looking at the man in front of him he remembered the child that he once was. "And I taught you some damn good lessons, so I have nothing to be afraid about. I can die without worry now." Another smile came onto his cracked lips and he took a breath and closed his eyes for the last time.

(Y/n) awoke in a bed in a strange room. Flinching himself awake he looked around and the door was open. Getting up, the man decided to have a look around and caught himself in a mirror. He was very much younger now and he seemed to glow. 'Guess there is an afterlife after all,' He thought and then went back to looking around. He went to the kitchen and there he saw him.
The man that had stole his heart what seemed like an eternity ago. "John?" He spoke out, scared this wasn't him, but a cruel dream. Turning around, the shorter grinned at him, "My love."
(Y/n) ran at him and picked him up kissing him forcefully, trying to make up for lost time. All too soon they broke it and the brunette was let down. Though they were still in each other's embrace. No words spoken, they just took in their presence. "I love you so much."
"I love you more (Y/n)."

Leo walked hand in hand with his wife and his daughter. They both stopped by a bigger grave for his parents.
'Here lies
(Y/n) and John (L/n)
Both great husbands
Amazing Father's
caring friends'
And both Heroes.'
The epitaph read,
"We lived together in happiness. Now together, we Rest In Peace."
Leo's eyes were pricked with tears, but he didn't let them fall. He didn't want his Dads to see him so sad. His wife gripped his hand tightly and gave a reassuring squeeze. Little did he know that his Father's were right there with him. (Y/n) looked at how much of a man Leo was now and John gushed over how adorable their granddaughter was.
Soon they had to go and before they left, the small girl looked back. She saw her grandparents smiling and waving at her. She waved back and giggled to herself. "Bye Grandpa! Bye Granddad!" She yelled out at them soon after. (Y/n) laughed and soon with the breeze they disappeared.
"Tomorrow they'll be more of us."
