"Pft. Now your mother got angry at you," said Seth in a voice that couldn't reach Meleyn.
"It's because you were ignoring me!"
Heldrin bombarded Seth with punches, but it didn't hurt. Instead, he looked so cute punching with his short arms.
"Ahaha!" laughed Seth.
After a couple of minutes, Seth and Heldrin were already standing on an area of plain grass. It was the backyard of the Aerithan Family's house. The first thing that Seth's eyes had fallen upon was the wooden bench near a single tree.
No. It wasn't actually the bench, but the sword that was lying flat on the ground underneath it.
As Seth succumbed to his own curiosity, he began to move forward, only to be pulled back by his tunic.
"Show me!" Heldrin's eyes sparkled in excitement.
With Seth's curiosity getting interrupted, he finally realized something about the surroundings. It was cold. He knew that the temperature was naturally cold in the evening, but he felt that something was unnatural. Despite that, however, he decided to ignore it. And instead, he stared at the gibbous moon above him.
After a second, Seth turned his head to Heldrin.
"Why are you so excited? Haven't you seen any other fire mages yet?" He began channeling mana to his index finger.
"I only want to see yours," said Heldrin
Seth raised a brow.
"Why?"
"Because it's more powerful!"
"Tss," Seth smiled faintly. "Why do you say so?"
"The Lithiras Family is strong!" Heldrin exclaimed dramatically.
"Haha! Thanks for looking up to me." Seth patted Heldrin head with his other hand and showed him the small flame on his finger. "But I'm not that strong yet."
"You're fooling me! I bet that fire can melt a rock!"
"Pft. You're really overestimating me." Seth kindled his other finger as well.
Suddenly, a cold and monotonous voice rang behind Seth.
"So you can already ignite more than one finger."
