The room was incredibly clean with a bookshelf stretching across one wall, a mahogany desk in the center of the room with Riley's day sat in an armchair, poring over a laptop.

Two faded armchairs were placed on the opposite side of the desk facing the Alpha.

"One sec, let me just finish this." Riley's dad said, motioning for the two of them to sit down in the chairs opposite him.

A couple of minutes of awkward silence followed, punctuated only by the tapping pf the Alpha's keyboard.

Finally he closed his laptop and gave the two boys undivided attention.

"So you boys worked everything out?" he asked.

Alex and Riley nodded before Riley finally opened his mouth.

"As you know, we already know each other from school, but more than that, our wolves have recognised us as Mates." Riley quickly explained, hoping to get the conversation over before his courage left him.

A quick look of surprise flashed over the Alpha's face, followed by a moment of thought.

Finally the Alpha broke out in a huge grin, and a booming laugh echoed through the office.

"Congratulations boys, i'm glad you found each other." he chuckled, "we should have a feast to celebrate, would you like to give your mother a call Alex and formally invite her for dinner?"

Alex nodded and stepped out of the corridor to make his phone call.

Once the door closed the Alpha stood up and walked around the desk before pulling Riley into a bone crunching hug.

"I'm glad you found your mate son, everything changes once they're by your side, if ever your mate is in danger, i want you to help him. He's a sweet kid, but this whole werewolf thing is kind of overwhelming for him at the moment." He said, before releasing his son.

"If you accept the mate bond..." He said before shaking his head, "That's a conversation for another time, but you probably know what i'm going to say."

Riley looked into his father's eyes, happiness washing over him at the fact his father openly supported their relationship.

The boy sat in silence, knowing exactly what his father was saying, that once the time came, he would have to abandon his former pack if he wished to be with his mate.

Riley was not the next Alpha, that position was held by his elder brother, meaning that when the time came, he would be able to leave to be with Alex and his new pack without weakening his own.

After thinking for a minute, he nodded to his father, "I'm going to accept the bond, I know how i feel about Alex and i don't ever want anything to hurt him."

"Good." his father said softly, placing his hand on Riley's shoulder, "In that case, you have my blessing to pursue your relationship with Alex, he is also welcomed as an honorary pack member until such a time as he must leave."

Tears welled up in Riley's eyes as he realised what his dad was saying, that his dad was happy that Riley had found somebody he truly cared about.

Alex opened the door and stepped into the office, "She's on her way over now."

"good, you boys go relax somewhere while i get things rolling for the celebratory feast." Riley's dad smiled, shooing the boys out.

Riley pulled Alex down the twisting hallways until they came to Riley's room.

"C'mon, we can chill in here, play some games or whatever.", Riley said happily.

He pushed the door open and Alex looked around at the space that was Riley's room, a small bookshelf was pushed up against one wall, a massive 60 inch TV was mounted on the wall with just about every games console under the sun, sat on a cabinet beneath it.

What took Alex's breath away though was the sheer size of Riley's bed, easily 3 times the size of his own king sized one.

The two settled onto some beanbags and sat chatting about things, before plugging in the Xbox and deciding to play a few rounds of Call of Duty.

Riley and Alex were pretty evenly matched at the game and they ended up with a tie.

"Boys, dinner's ready." The alpha's voice boomed through the house.

The two pulled themselves out of their bean bags and headed to the door, before Alex spun around and grabbed Riley's shoulders and pulled him close, before brushing his lips softly against the other boys.

"Sorry, i couldn't help it." He apologised.

Riley smiled, "Don't worry, i liked it."

Riley took Alex's hand gently and guided him through the house towards the dining room.
