“Don’t do it Maria. He isn’t worth it”. 

When maria heard this voice she immediately stiffened and jerked her head in the direction of the voice. That is when she saw Emris. She recognized Emris because even if she has gotten older the face is still the same.

The face of her first friend. Maria met Emris while hunting. Both of them were around 12 years old. They became friends right away after some conflict of course. 

Maria was overflowed with emotions. Relief, Happiness, anger, sadness, despair. But out of all of them, she was excited to spend time with her again. She sprinted to Emris. Her tail wagging. Tackled her to the ground and licked her face with glee. After a few licks, Maria got off of her and shifted back to her human self. Emris leaped on Maria and hugged each other tightly

“How do you know my sister”. Zenon said with frustration. 

“Emris is your sister? How she is a diamond in the rough. While you’re a jerk.”

“I am this pack’s beta. Don’t talk to me like that”. Maria chuckled at this statement and said. “I am this pack’s future luna. What are you going to do about it… Other than that whine all day”. This earned a throaty laugh from Nicholas. Nicholas walked towards Maria, looked at her with admiration, thinking how am I so lucky to have such a fierce shorty, and said.

“Do you know you're super rare and endangered”

“Isn’t every black person endangered” she giggled. 

“I-I really don’t know what to say to that” he reciprocated 

Now, this is when the pack almost fainted from shock. The Nicholas Rose feared by all, alpha of the Midnight Rose Pack. Ruthless, cold. Who knew that the moment that he found his mate he would laugh and smile around the pack members. Let alone be speechless. They all watched with awe about how a woman can change a man. 

Then the most unexpected thing happened.
