She stuffed the rabbit into her hunting bag as the sun started to set. Her hunting trip was not a huge success, but she did get enough to last a little while. She had also found an old chain in a tree. It was about three meters long and beyond rusted, but that did not matter too much. It will still do the job after it gets cleaned and melted into nuggets.
She was not too awfully far from the tower, but it will be dark before she gets back.
From what Rose gathers, most people can not see well at night, but she could see just fine as long as the moon was out and based on the clear sky, tonight would be a nice night for her. However, it was starting to get cold. Winter was coming soon.
She put her hood up and heard movement near her as she started to walk back. She was unclear where that movement was, but it sounded large.
Hoping that it was a deer, she crouched down and intently listened. The wind blew against the leaves in the trees and in the distance, a dragon roared, but nothing that was close.
She continued on without too much thought, but she had goosebumps.
The rest of the walk back went without incident and she made it back to the tower to see Mark and Bilmont talking joyfully.
"That is when the sea bear jumps onto my old ship and started eating the fish we just caught! Let's just say that when it finally left, we were grumpily fishing once more."
Bilmont laughed at the tale from Mark as they were sipping on some tea when Rose entered the main room.
"Ah, Rose! How was the hunting?"
She sat her bag on the table and replied, "scarce, but it is enough to last through the month or so."
Rose yawned and stretched, almost knocking down her hood. She panicked before she realized that Mark was not looking towards her.
"I am going to go to my room, I still need to work on that research you assigned. I am almost done."
Bilmont nodded her way, as she made her way up the steps.
The research is over Aki and Ati, the dragon and her rider that saved the city and whose names are immortalized as the city and the mountain range. She knows the story well, but the research is to find something that she did not know before.
She sat down, and got to reading one of the many books that were provided to her.
