"πππππ π ππππ‘ βπ’ππ‘ βππ" he thought as he drove, at lightning speed down the narrow street. The rhythmic beat of his heart grew louder at the thought of his wife being harmed. His baby being harmed. He didn't need to call anyone about where she was because he knew exactly where to go.
He finally pulled up in front of the Thorne Estate. As vast and large as it was, it greatly intimidated him. He dreaded the moment of ever stepping foot in the mansion again. He didn't want to face the man he'd been running from for many years now.
He began to dread the decisions of his youth, when he was hard up for cash and would do anything for it. He never should have borrowed money from the Thorne family, he never should have ran away, he never should have gotten his family involved.
But he did.
He let out a deep, heavy sigh and turned off his car. Walking out of his car and quickly to the large wooden doors of the home. He was reluctant to ring the doorbell but did anyway. Not long after, a small woman opened the door. She had a young face, no later than 20 years old. She looked at him with wide eyes as if she had recognized him instantly.
She ran off to get someone, leaving the man at the door. Only seconds after did he notice that a large man appeared, standing before him was the one and only, Mariano Thorne. Ceo and founder of Thorne Entertainment. Known for his underground business and deals. No one could deny that he was a very well built man who looked like he could blow anyone away with a flick of his wrist. He wore a tight fit black shirt that embodied his muscles and dark grey formal pants. He stood at the door looking at the man before him through his icy blue eyes with a menacing grin.
"So you've decided to appear, Sotaru?" He crossed his arms and studied the man's terrified expression. "I...I came f-for my wifeβ¦Mari..."
Mari frowned. He gazed at the man longer, practically boring holes into Sotaru's face. "Not to give me my money?" He paused for a while before speaking again in a highly sarcastic tone "Oh poor Sotaru, you take my money, build a company, profit from it, get married..but you can't pay me back?!" He walked up to Sotaru, who was now standing inside the house. He reached forward and brushed his long dark bangs back. Giving him a mockingly saddened look, "I'm truly hurt, and after all I've done for you too." He wipes a fake tear from his eye, causing Sotaru to tense. He trembled where he stood, not daring to even utter a peep at Mari's remarks.
The sudden sound of a womans screams echoed through the halls of the mansion. A woman carrying a sleeping child entered from a door not visible to the unknowing eye. Her glasses were propped on top of her head and the click-clack of her heels seemed to echo through the halls. She walked over to Mari and spoke promptly, no emotion in her voice as she passed the child to him. "The woman gave birth to this child, due to intense blood loss it is inevitable that she will pass soon. I took the child and left her in the underground room. Your men are taking care of her." He looked somewhat shocked at the news that the woman was carrying a baby but simply nodded at her and reached for the child, holding him gently.
Sotaru looked at them petrified. He knew for a fact that was his child. He thought to himself for a while and then spoke with pure horror in his voice. "Wh..where is my wife?! What are you gonna do?!" He tried to sound calm but it came out as a slight scream. He began to visibly swallow, as if he had a lump stuck in his throat.
Mari glared at him and then averted his gaze to the child.
"What do you mean? Don't you know who I am?" He looked up, arching his eyebrow slowly.
The baby in his arms started to cry. He slowly rocked him, shooting Sotaru a look. The man stood frozen in place. He looked at his child and slowly moved forward, extending his hand.
Mari quickly grabbed the mans wrist and twisted it. A bone crushing sound filled Sotaru's ears. He suddenly collided with the hard, cold floor. Mari's foot was on his head. He felt the man slowly putting more pressure into his assault as he tried to get up. Failing miserably.
Mari stooped down. His foot still crushing the mans head. He looked at him with a bone chilling expression and spoke. "This child is no longer yours and your wife if long dead! You took what was mine and didn't repay me so I will do the same thing." The blood dripping out of the mans mouth caused him to choke on his words. Only inaudible sounds were able to escape.
Mari grinned before getting up, still cradling the now quiet baby and walking away. Before he left the room he whispered something into the ear of the woman with the glasses. Her eyes instantly settled on Sotaru's leaking face as she walked over.
Stopping in his tracks once more, Mari looked back at Sotaru. Staring him dead in the eyes. "Don't forget to tell your wife that her baby is okay, okay?" He let out a deep and loud laugh before finally making his exit. Suddenly the room went dark.
