...and that goes there, I thought while adding a final clip to my hair. Oneplus point of not being born a royal: I know how to do stuff. You would say how did I know what royals can or can't do? Well, at least I knew that Kayla couldn't. How? Seeing Olivia's shocked face when she saw I was ready was a good enough clue.
"I am so sorry, Kayla! I just lost track of time and before I knew it I was late"
Note to me- don't rely on Olivia on matters concerning time
"...although I must say, Kayla, I never thought that you knew how to get ready by yourself, judging by how you got ready yesterday"
Did she just insult me? Was I letting her get just too close to me? Maybe I should- wait. I just thought like a rude rich guy, didn't I? Sigh. This lifestyle is rubbing off on me.
"If your ready you must join the King, Queen and the Prince forbreakfast."
I nodded at her. Some questions left me unsettled. This was a continuation of my yesterday's dream? If yes, what happened after I confessed to Prince William? And breakfast with some prince? Was he supposed to be my brother? DidI have no escape from the monster in the disguise of a brother even in a dream? No, no. No need to think like that. Not all brothers could as annoying as mine.

I entered the dining room and bowed down before sitting in the chair which, I presumed, was mine. One thing which I wanted to add was that Princess Kayla's parents were those rich, pretentious parents who never think anything their children did was wrong. It's not like I hated them, they were a good comic relief in that infuriating game, but nonetheless, I wanted to be away as far aspossible, because comic relief or not, they were bad news.
So I sat on my chair, trying to making the least amount of eye contact with anyone in the room, and quietly started eating.
"Are both of you ready for school?", I heard the queen say.
I heard the prince say 'yes', while I just stuck to a nod. There was a school in the game too, so I wasn't that surprised. Plus, a school where all nobles and royalties go is no less than a lavish 7-star hotel.
"Are your feelings unwell?" I heard the queen say and when no one answered I realised it was directed to me.
I quickly lift my head to look at her, "No. I am- Mom?!"
The queen looked like my mom. My mom from the real world.
"How many times have I told you not to scream at the table?"
Did the queen just scold her precious daughter? I was literally 'shook'. Thi sdream was not following the storyline was something which I knew, but it does not follow behaviour sets too. Rather, it is following the behaviour sets of the people who have replaced the characters in my dream. Only the name and posts were what they got from the game characters. Which means... I whipped my head to the right to see the prince and the to left to see the king. They had the faces of my brother and father.
"Kayla, sweetie, you're soon going to be a great queen of some land. Please listen to your mother's words. They may sound harsh, but it's for your good. And honey please calm down, our girl is smart, she is sure to learn the ways of a princess properly, especially when you are the one teaching her,", The king said, attempting to cool down the queen. My brother cringed and my mother blushed. As for me, the bewildered expression was still plastered on my face.
My mind was blown. The king was a lubricant in this family just like my father was in my family. Always trying to avoid unwanted conflicts.
The rest of the breakfast went on smoothly.

I came back to my room to get my bag. When I stepped out of the room, I almost jumped at the sight of someone standing by my door, but the moment I released that that someone had the face of Kaden, you bet I jumped. Just then, Olivia reached the scene. "Oh, Sir Edgar! Are you here to escort our Princess toschool. Such a good personal knight you are!"
Wait for a minute. Was he my knight? The one with the intimacy score of a hundred? I glanced over to see his intimacy score to check. It was 50! But how? Do I have two personal knights? I whispered in Olivia's ear, "Was he the same knight I asked about yesterday?"
She nodded before whispering back, "He is the cold type but is quite close to you, but don't you think he looks quite grumpy today?"
If you call his looks which proved that 'looks could kill' grumpy, then yes, he was grumpy.Irrespective of that, I had to admit that he was quite the looker in that indigo suit which he wore.
"Ma'am, we should get going if you are done talking."
Oh my god. He looked and sounded terrifying. I somehow mustered the strength and said, "O- Olivia, you w-would be coming with us too, right?"
She looked away in the other direction, "Actually, I still have to pack your lunch, so I wouldn't be able to join you now but I'll meet you at school."
It was evident that she was keeping a safe distance from ticking-time-bomb-Kaden. She scurried away before I could say anything to protest. Good game, Olivia, good game. I looked at K- no Edgar staring intently at me. I gulped. Why did I get the feeling that I was the reason for his grumpiness? Walking down the hallway, he suddenly spoke up, "I feel great anger today. I am sorry if I misbehave."
"It's okay we all have day when we just feel 'meh' "
He answered me with silence.
I hadn't even met him properly before today. How could I have taken his score of hundred to a fifty? I mean if the real Kaden was in his place I could understand but- wait a minute. Of course!
