If I had to describe the kitchen I would say it's not a kitchen at all. The kitchen was big. Extremely big. Spotless and clean. The kind of thing which you would not use because you know that once you use it it will never be this clean. Was this kitchen even ever used? No one was there except the head chef, who was quite surprised to see me there, to say the least. His intimacy scorewas at 50 so it was most probable that we had never had a conversation which left an impression on him. That or I had never him before here. I couldn't decide what was worse. It was late in the afternoon so it was but obvious that the other chefs must have been on a break after the hectic lunch preparations till they had to start preparing the dinner for tonight. With the help of the head chef, I was soon able to gather all the essential ingredients. After he had run me through the basic instructions of how the kitchen functioned, he asked me for my permission to leave and with my one nod, he left.
A revised the recipe in my head. I was going to bring the big guns out for this bet. Strawberry shortcake was Kaden's favourite pastry, a one-hit KO move.Moving swiftly through the kitchen, I gathered a pack of fresh strawberries, some flour, salt, baking powder, sugar, milk, butter and whipped cream. The cookie dough came together easily(maybe because of the quality of ingredients)and a cut them and popped it into the oven. Soon enough, I found myself layering the biscuits with strawberries and cream before topping them graciously with cream and more strawberries again. Voila! Kaden was in for a treat.
