Liriak bowed slightly in respect to the archer and then left to accompany Dallus to the slaughtered beast’s analysis.
Wokor saw Liriak put a hand on Dallus' back as if he were comforting the distressed mind the leader had built up over those action-packed events.
"Great one, my dude!" Qurnuk sneaked up in front of Wokor, greeting him with a wide smile on his face. "That was sick! You were awesome! Those pew pew pew you did were killer! Hahaha! You just nailed it!"
Wokor was not frightened by the arrival of the youngest hulk in the group. Qurnuk could only be fifteen, but he was extremely big and strong compared to someone of his age.
Wokor saw Qurnuk as an admirable figure since he was so young and yet came to belong to the most renowned squadron of Nathoryos. The archer had no reaction but to bow his head slightly to show him respect.
"I do what I must," Wokor was saying, then looking up again. "Nothing less, nothing more."
Qurnuk let his smile fade, looking disappointed.
"Dude, you're too dark. It creeps the hell out of me," with his hands on his hips, Qurnuk let his crystals shrug off from his wings. "Take it easy, okay?"
"As you wish, my superior."
"Dude! No!"
"Qurnuk! Rookie! Should I tell Lunar Warchief Kamyph you’re on vacation?!" Dallus called for the other two squad members. "Can you cut the chit chat and help us here?!"
Wokor and Qurnuk were made to pay attention to the fact that Liriak and Dallus intended to transport the Stone Bear to the Sacred Soil’s rune-city.
Qurnuk returned to smile at Wokor. He showed some satisfaction in doing so.
"Let us collect our spoils, shall we?" Qurnuk said as he took his next walk.
Wokor saw the broad back of the black-winged moth-boy lead the way. He analyzed the firm muscles of his strong arms twitch with his sloppy movements, which only let the archer think how vigorous the youngest of the group could be.
That figure with purple ponytail might appear to be carefree at first, but to be there - alongside warriors as powerful as Dallus and Liriak - Wokor knew that Qurnuk could be something more. Even for being able to hold a Stone Bear for so long.
Wokor finally took the first step towards the three as if he accepted to belong to the destiny that had been waiting for him since his transcendence ceremony.
His seriousness never left his features since the hardness embedded in his heart would never cease to exist in a soul as frozen as his.
He only knew the loneliness, detachment, darkness, duty, and brevity of a moth-man's life. His mind had never given way to doubt, and perhaps that was why he was as good with arrows as anyone had ever been before.
With such dead eyes, it would be a surprise to think that Wokor could track any purpose, even though there was no other choice for the moth-men than to pledge their allegiance to the High Priestess and the Lunar Doctrine.
It was up to his new superiors to feed him visions that would change his destiny forever.
Arriving at Qurnuk's side again, Wokor saw the black-winged moth-boy smile at him again.
"Welcome to E-Squad, my fellow guy," Qurnuk said cheerfully. "It's good to have you here."
His feats had reached the High Priestess' ears and his ascension ceremony welcomed him with open arms.
Assigned to the strongest squad of Nathroryos, Wokor will attempt to prove his worth as a true hunter of monsters and heretics in the name of the Lunar Doctrine.
Along with Dallus, Liriak, and Qurnuk, the archer will experience a vast number of incredible events, awaken frozen feelings from inside his cold heart, and conquer his space in the existence among many intertwined fates of Gaeath's world.
