that same morning Richard woke up in the forest and he was lost, he walked around the forest until he was again in front of the cabin. he enters in the cabin and he sees the dead body of Augusto. he sends a message to the detective and he keeps walking until he is finally out of the woods. he looks around of him and he enters on his car, for a moment he is doubting about leaving without saying goodbye to anyone, then he thinks that his sacrifice last night was enough for him, if he failed to obtain his redemption is no longer his problem but the reason why he should dedicated the rest of his life in freedom to do good. he leaves on his car with no direction and ready to start a new life far away from this cursed town and he wants to go somewhere where he doesn't know anyone and he can become perhaps a hero to someone. while he was leaving he wrote a message that he send to Martha asking for her forgiveness and thanking her for allowing him to pay in part for his mistakes and for letting him had a second life, a second apportunity.

Alexander wakes up in the middle of the road and he tries to stand up. he looks at his car and he gets inside of it. he stays in there for a moment in silence thinking about what he is going to do next, then he drives with one single direction in his head, Martha's home. before he goes to see her he gets out of his car and he walks back to the woods for something he forgot. 

Raul was walking on a road with nothing but hope to get away. he had planned everything and there was no one who could stop him now, he might go back for Mariana another day. maybe in some years in the future or in some months. Raul is a man who finds a way to be a step ahead of others. when everything seem to be find he start to felt that something was off, then he started to think what if she read his moves. he starts to feel uncomfortable and then he looks around of him. there is something wrong. why no one is following him? why does he doesn't hear the cops coming for him? why does he feels like something is wrong? he asks many questions to himself trying to find an answer and then out of nowhere he hears a sound, before he turns around he is shot in the leg from behind and he falls on his knees. Robert Smith walks behind him.

"maybe you are confused right now but I would explain something. Martha explained to me how this ability of yours works so I would just say that she knew you would try to get away of justice using this ability of yours for your advantage but somehow I make sure to be closed to you. now is time for you to pay."

said Robert smiling at Raul.

"how did you? in a case like this the only way you could have done it would be by killing yourself."

said Raul confused looking away.

"it was painful as hell but that doesn't matter anymore."

said Robert with a frendly tone of voice.

Robert takes a syringe out of his pockets and he injects Raul with it. he falls unconscious. Robert calls Martha and he tells her that is done, her cousin is no longer a problem.

a few minutes later the detective drive that way and he found Raul in the middle of the road tied to a three still unconscious. Robert was at his side.

"how long would he be like that?"

the detective asks worry.

"for a long time, at least a few hours."

said Robert while he walks away from there.

that same day Raul was taken to justice to be sentenced to life imprisonment later. alongside the body of Augusto they found a notebook with some evidence that proves his guilt in the murder of Dolores and that proves that was him the one who push Rigoberto into killing Roger. 

the following days were strange for Martha whom felt relieved to think that her two biggest problems are either dead or in jail but it wasn't just strange for her but also for everyone involve in this case, now it was all over but for some strange reason it didn't felt that way. 

not just for her but also for the detective felt off the way everything ended so easily but not just that also the fact that he saw and heard many people died the day in which they all went to the woods and yet everything was undone the next day. the detective didn't had a way to explain everything that happened that day nor he seem to doubt what he saw. it was a week after that night on the woods that he saw her once more, the detective Fisherman was finally in front of her once more but this time instead of being a man in a case for justice he was just a man with questions searching for anwers.

that day Darwin Fisherman and Martha Palacios where in a church waiting for Mr. Keene to explain everything to the detective and to welcome her on the group of which the old man is part. he arrived two hours after them. it was until five o'clock p.m. that the old man entered on the church and he walked towards them. he looks at both the detective and Martha with a gentle smile.

"well this might be hard to explain Mr. Fisherman but I will do my best. there is a phenomenon called the Judas' Chastisement effect. with this phenomenon some people are able to die more than once. most people who are affected by this phenomenon only die twice but there are many like us whom are able to die more than once, now this effect works in a strange way, if someone dies before or at the same time that the person who is affected then that person stays dead but if anyone dies after and his death is related to the person whom suffers of this effect then that person would also come back alive. one perfect example is that no one who died in the woods was meant to die that day and that is why they came back alive including you Mr. policeman. allow me to say more about this effect. there are people whom died after like you that day and then there are people whom were witnesses of the event and those people are called the quiet witness which means that they become aware of our existence jet they had zero evidence to proved it.... now you are in a complecated position but don't worry the people whom are aware of this effect are mostly good people with dark secrets but is really rare a case like the Craftsman when a complete monster is affected by this effect. well you can be in peace Mr. Fisherman."

said Mr. keene looking at the detective with a smile.

"I wan to stay in contact with your people Mr. Keene if you agree, I had feeling that we might stay closed to each other and we might need the help of the other one."

said the detective while giving his business card to the old man.

"yes, I like your proposal, well that is all I need to talk about with you, if you excuse me I need to talk with Mss. Palacios now."

said the old man while looking down on the floor.

the detective gives his business card to Martha and then he leaves. he looks at his phone and he notice that he has a lost call from another cop. he calls him back and they start talking about a new case that they need to solve, he smiles while looking at the sky then he hangs up. 

Martha is finally alone with the old man.

"you warned me because you wanted me to be part of your secret group. you are just as guilty for what happen in here and now you want me to be one of your many members."

said Martha furious.

"well I didn't manipulate you, the problem is that we have rules so we can't act without following the rules. if we break any rule then we are expel and even worse depending of the case. but tell me child are you one of us or not?"

said Mr. Keene waiting for an answer.

"I don't need your people nor your rules. but if want to be in peace I suppose I need to be part of your group."

said Martha whom knew that the only solution was accepting to become one of them.

after that day she never saw that man. Alexander knocked on her door once telling her about a place in which they needed employees.  she asked him to stay to drink coffee or tea but he refused he had things that he needed to do. that day he seem suspicious and pale like if something bad has happen to him. in the end he stayed for a moment and they started to talk about many things. Martha was better than ever and she felt the need to make sure that he was also feeling good. they kept talking for a while until they started to talk about Augusto whom was an asshole but they never suspected him of being the one who kill Dolores nor they believed him of doing the things that the cops found about him. after a while Alexander left and Martha was alone once more to talk to herself and think about how grateful she should be with life after all the things that happened but this last weeks had been boring and hollow without no one to who she can talk nor nothing to do just searching for a new job. 

the detective Fisherman is now working in another case and he visits the church every saturday on the night and some sundays on the morning. he doesn't like to smile much but he tries to smile once in a while. he started to read the bible sometimes in the night to scared away any feeling of fear and because he felt more safe in that way. there was something that he never liked about how the case was solved but at least he feels better knowing that he helped an innocent woman. sometimes he thinks why Raul answer in that way when he called Martha innocent and then he ignores his own question because there is no way that anything that that man says or does makes sense. but outisde from everything new that he has done there is something else he has become more obsessed with the man who killed that family. a serial killer known as "the father figure killer." a serial killer who kills the mother, once the father is in jail he kills the kids and everyone in his way. every single time the only one he lets live is he father unless he dies in prison. he had killed already nine families in the last twenty years and he is about to kill many more if he is not stop on time. this time the detective would be careful and he won't let him walk away anymore.

in the meanwhile Martha is sitting on her sofa watching TV and drinking Vodka while thinking of visiting the toobstone of Dolores, she felt the need to say goodbye to the only person outside of the detective who actually cared for her and wanted her to be safe and happy. she feels like she owns so much to that nice lady that died even when she didn't deserve it and she feels sad to think that now the kids of Dolores are probably suffering with a foster home. would those kids find a good family or are they with monsters? are they treated well or are they treated in the worst way possible? those are some of the questions that she asks herself while she believes that it was her fault that they are orphans without a mother. 

that day Martha couldn't sleep and the more liquor she drank the harder that it was for her to sleep. she had nightmares about Dolores blaming her for her death and the suffering of her children and she had a darker nightmare, one with the man in the shadows smiling with his creepy smile and telling her that he owns her life and that he would never give her the pleasure of being happy. she was afraid of that man and she couldn't put a face to that creepy smile nor that evil gaze even when she knew that the owner of that smile and that voice was a dead man and that the cops found so much evidence pointing at him. it seems like a part on her was telling her to be careful and aware of his presence.

that night she kept trying to sleep but every single damn time she would open the eyes with tears and she would cry feeling weak and exposed to evil. there was no solution nor answer to the way that she was feeling just pain and more pain to feel until at some point she was finally unconscious. she slept probably three hours but no more than four. it was a painful and dreadful night from a hollow and sad day.

when she finally awoke she told herself to visit Dolores grave and probably by just doing that she might find the peace that she needs to keep going with her life and to don't have any other night like that one in which she couldn't sleep because of the fear and pain.

she received a call from the detective Fisherman whom wanted to tell her that if she needs anything she can call him at any time but at the moment he was going to be occupied for a while, he wnated her to not be worry if he doesn't answers to her calls or messages. Martha smiled feeling a bit of peace and feeling grateful towards the only person in which she can trust in this dreadful world full of lies and illusions. 

she took a shawer and then she ate some breakfast. even if the world was against her she was going to pretend to have the best day of her life because there is no other way to look at life if you don't want to become insane in a world of madness. she become a different person since her second death and now she would ignore the world while she lives her life not as Martha the perfect child but as Mariana the daughter that actually survived that day. she can be called whatever the world wants to called her but she would live the way she wants to live and not the way she was told to live.
