I got in the pub, along with Redding and Robinson, both of them holding sawed-off shotguns. It was a fucking massacre inside. The bartender was dead, and all the customers inside too. I knew this was one of the Bento's businesses, this is where the main drug dealing happened- in the restrooms, behind the bar, wherever discreet. Two of the Ferreto brothers, along with five of their croonies were sitting in the lounge, laughing on how easy it was to capture such a huge pub within few minutes. I felt anger built inside me and I held my shotgun to one of the croonies, and pulled the trigger. His brain blew into bits and pieces, and it flew all over the pub. The cops were going to be here soon, and we had to get this mess cleared up quick. I brought out a bat and hit the brothers on the head, swelling it up. The fell unconscious. Redding and Robinson killed off the remaining croonies. Redding brought his men inside and picked up the brothers and dumped them inside a car. After that was done, Redding told me to stay here along with his men to clear up the place. He and Robinson got in the car with the brothers in and drove off into the night. I sat in the lounge and poured myself a glass of brandy. I was really nervous. All the things I built up to make myself a fucking living could be destroyed within minutes. "Faster, you fuckers!" I screamed, gulping a huge amount of alcohol, burning my throat. A car pulled up outside, and I heard two men coming in. Both of them were heavily built and very good looking. One had a suit on, and the other in a simple shirt and jeans. On the first glance, I knew these weren't cops. "Well, looks like our work has already been done!" He turned towards the lounge and saw me. Our eyes met, and we instantly knew that we liked each other. "These your men?" He asked. I shook my head. "I work for Redding." His eyes seemed to tell me he was a bit disappointed, but it was only there for a second. His men poured in, and within a few minutes, the work was done. All the bodies were packed in bags and dumped in the cars. The entire pub looked clean, as if nothing happened. Spare bottles of brandy were kept on the shelves, and a new bartender appeared. His men changed their complete black clothes to casual clothes. A few women entered, wearing very less clothing. All of them sat in random seats and started conversing. The music was started again. We sat in the VIP section of the pub, and just in time when the cops pulled in. Their reaction was a sight to see. What they had envisioned was far from what they saw. It looked like nothing had happened. After some time the cops left. I already knew the magic was done by the man in front of me, Carl Bento. I had a feeling that I could learn more from him within a week than with other people in an year. Carl saw me and smiled. "I like you kid. If I got some work, I will call you, yeah? And tell Redding hi from me." I instantly knew there was something amiss. He knew something that I didn't. I just smiled back and gave him a firm handshake. He left then, without a word. And I sat there wondering where my glass of brandy had gone.
