An owl hooted somewhere off in the distance, alerting the two to the passing of time, snapping them out of their reverie.

The two headed down the corridor to their rooms.

Before Alex could get into his room, Riley grabbed his hand and spun him round, pressing a deep kiss to his mouth.

They held each other for a moment, each enjoying the warmth of the others touch, before separating.

"Good night" Riley said, a blush evident on his cheeks.

Alex reponded with a nod, too worked up for words.

Neither boy could sleep very well that night, each too absorbed in the new developments of their relationship to settle down.

Around 6:30 Alex finally gave up on sleep and decided a nice long shower might help him unwind.

Grabbing his towel he headed for the bathroom, before turning the water on to heat.

He quickly brushed his teeth and used the toilet, steam began misting the mirror, a clear indication the water has hot enough.

Alex peeled off the shorts he slept in and stepped under the hot spray, instantly feeling his tightened muscles begin to relax from the gentle heat.

He took his time in the shower, making the enjoyment last as long as he could before running out of excuses to stay in.

He donned a fresh pair of underwear before stepping into his bedroom, using a towel to dry his hair while he walked.

He was nervous this morning as he had decided to ask Riley out for an official date that evening.

He made his way to the kitchen and began brewing a fresh pot of coffee and fixing himself a bowl of cereal.

Once the coffee was ready he grabbed a mug made one and went to the lounge, he sat there scrolling through his phone, looking to make the ultimate date experience.

he settled on dinner at a nice uptown chinese restaurant and a movie, which they would decide once they checked what was showing.

Alex heard Riley's door open and he quickly locked his phone, to keep their date a secret from the other boy.

Riley strolled up behind Alex and hugged him, pressing a kiss to his temple.

"G'morning" he said, pressing his face into Alex's neck.

"Morning, you sleep okay?" Alex smiled.

"yeah thanks, you?" Riley replied into Alex's neck, breathing in his mate's scent.

"Not too great to be honest, i was awake thinking about last night" Alex murmured, enjoying the closeness and intimacy of the moment.

Riley let go a worried look on his face, "Sorry, did i come on too strong?"

Alex smiled, "No, it was perfect, i was just processing everything, i've never really dated anyone before now."

A look of relief quickly spread acrfoss Riley's face and he sauntered off to the kitchen to get breakfast.

Alex sat in contemplation for a moment before working up the courage to ask Riley to go out with him on an official date.

He clambered to his feet and strolled through to the kitchen.

He paused in the doorway, admiring his mate who was currently engrossed in mking a cup of coffee.

After a moment, he walked up to the other boy and fulled him into a hug from behind, settling his chin on his shoulder.

Riley smiled, "What brought this on?"

Alex let out a soft sigh, "I wanted to ask you something."

Riley gave him a look of curiosity, "Ask away."

"Would you like to go on a date with me tomorrow?" Alex asked, stumbling a little on his words, his embarassment causing a flush of red to spread over his cheeks.

Riley was entranced by the other boy, not realising that he hadn't given a response until Alex gave him a worried look.

"I mean you don't have to if you don't want to, i just thought-" Alex maged to get out.

Riley pulled Alex into him and planted his lips firmly against Alex's.

"Don't even think that i don't want to, i'd love to go on a date with you." Riley assured once they separated from their quick kiss.

A look of relief spread across Alex's face, followed by a brilliant grin.

"I'm so glad, i'm already looking into what to do so don't worry about that."

"Sounds great, i can't wait." Riley smiled, a grin of his own, plastered on his face.

"So, whats the plan for today?" Alex asked.

"Um, actually, my dad wants us to go see him today, so he can explain a little more about werewolf society, mainly where you will fit in with the pack while you're learning, you'll be asigned some duties like scouting or hunting for example." Riley said suddenly nervous.

"okay, guess i'll go get myself ready." Alex said, leaning in to steal another quick kiss before heading to his room to change into something more appropriate for meeting with the alpha.

He settled on black jeans and a navy polo shirt, so he looked presentable but not over dressed.

Riley was sat in the lounge scrolling through his phone when Alex was ready, he was dressed simply, in a white t-shirt that hugged his biceps and blue jeans.

Riley looked up when he heard Alex, "Ready?"

Alex nodded dumbly, taking in the breathtaking sight that was his mate.

Once they were in the car, Alex's nerves flared, the reality that soon he would be training to be the alpha of his own pack finally setting in.

They pulled out and started to drive to the pack house.
