Dakota's POV:
I am now two weeks away from starting high school. I'm not nervous only because if I get very nervous then everything will go downhill. Way downhill. I hadn't expected doing anything today other than buying some food while my parents go shopping and going back to bed. It's not like I did anything this summer. Well, except... yeah nothing. My parents told me that in 3 days we were going to Wisconsin to see some family. I barely talk to my friends and my parents excpect me to "get to know more of my family". Yeah, no thank you. I decided to go since I had nothing better to do and so now I'm packing. Tomorrow we leave. Im excited but its nothing really new, I mean, when my family goes out of state all we really do is eat and catch-up, nothing else.
Ty's POV:
As much as I love living on my own i also love company i decided to invite my tia that was closer and her family over for the week. im very happy to see them, the last time i saw them was when i used to live in kansas it was pretty sad to leave but i think they would be proud of me. Their youngest kid is dakota, we never speak or at least ever had a full conversation. I think this would be a perfect opportunity to start a good relationship with her.
It's the next morning and Im pretty chilled out and tired my parents woke me up at 4:00 to get ready. i had to take a tylenol for a headache i started hearing my heart beat, felt like my head was about to explode. the sun had already begun to rise and the day was decent but not enough to surprise me. we had already gotten to Wautoma, WI we are staying at a hotel and then finally getting to Amherst. we are back on the road i couldn't really sleep i had the weary feeling there was something watching me but i couldn't tell everything was pitch black. Though once we got to the gas station i had the same feeling then ended up ignoring it. we finally got to Amherst i started feeling like i wanted to throw up. we got to the neighborhood and it was a pretty nice a lot of trees and everything looked clean. When we got to the house i felt completely drained of energy i could barely move. I met my cousin Tyler he used to do drugs but im guessing he's clean or at least he says he is. I didn't really say much other than hello. Tyler and I don't speak much, he mostly speaks to my parents and hangs out with my siblings or at least he used to before he moved. But it was like he never saw me i was just there and it makes me uncomfortable sometimes to think that the only reason he would visit would be because he'd want to hang out i mean its not worth the 2 day drive.
