I feel like the book is already sad enough, so I wanna share a funny story that I heard in the past few days.
At the emergency call station, a grandma called, scared being, thinking she is dying. She was healthier than a newborn when one ambulance arrived. So, the medic gave her some pills. He told her :
"- Grandma, you take this pill right now. This one, after you eat. And this one tonight, but be careful, for it causes deep sleep ."
He gave her the pills and they departed for another case.
The next day, the grandma called at the office, asking :
"- Oh goodness, what name do the gentlemen who visited me yesterday wear? I only saw his surname, John, I think. Please, put him on the phone, for I what to thank him. He gave me some pills and he treated me so nice. I feel so healed. I feel wonderful. Please, let me thank him. God bless him and his family! "
The funny fact: he gave her skittles.
Now, laugh! You need to move on and live. You need to love yourself. Make people see the real you. If they stay, they are the real ones. If they don't, they only liked the image of you. Befriend yourself with good people. Live as a whole. Not just one side. Be yourself. And love yourself.
You didn't, I suppose, forgot about our exercise, right? I'm grateful that I finally brought myself to tell this story of mine, and for exposing myself before my closest ones. I'm grateful that my long support friend is still here. I'm grateful that I could cry tonight. I'm grateful about the moon tonight. I have a special bond with Her. What are you being grateful for today?
"Your wound might be your fault, but your healing is your responsibility" is my motto. This book is the actual proof of a human being struggling to survive, striving to become the best version of himself. It is my own journey towards loving myself, with details and situations I've been through, and the lessons I've learned afterward, with some pieces of advice as well. Love yourself!
