Bryle's warm sweat seemed to be dripping persistently. His breathing looked so unstable and his chest appeared to be tightening as well as he hid behind his apartment's main door after unnervingly closing it. Catching up his breath would be difficult since shaking too much and being unable to think well could be a bother for him for now. He instead dropped himself off to the floor and leaned on the door, still panting heavily in fear. Bryle couldn't exactly think of what he saw earlier.
After that man-wolf showed himself in front of him, Bryle accidentally slapped the man-wolf's face and planned to push him away to find an opening for escape. But then, the creature was so hard to push so Bryle decided to run for his life instead, and finally, he somehow made it to his house without a single scratch on his body.
What if that creature followed him? The last choice he thought was running away. He also viewed that that may be the best chance to escape. At least he got the chance to run away after being locked up by that man's immense body.
While on pins and needles, he managed to get his phone and immediately went to his contacts. Whoever's the contact he might press, without hesitation, he would ask help for. He unknowingly clicked the registered contact named Jeremy Hernandez, a friend from high school.
"Bryle? Is that yo---"
"H-Help me!" Bryle clattered while trying to catch up his breath.
By the time Jeremy heard his friend's continuous sobbing, he forthwith stood up from his gaming seat and went to his doorstep to wear his shoes. He left his live stream on for the sake of his friend. And for his game, he also left it until it signed game over at last. He did all of this as he thought something unusual must have happened to Bryle. He couldn't avoid getting anxious about this sudden situation. Years had already passed but Bryle just contacted him unexpectedly.
"Alright! I'll be there right away. Hang on!"
What happened to Bryle? Why did he call me all of the sudden? And why me of all people?
Since he had no idea where Bryle lives, he got his phone as a reference and promptly checked the GPS. Fortunately, Bryle's phone's not off so tracking where he lived could be easier now.
While on his way to Bryle's apartment, he started to feel uneasy along the street. It felt like someone has been watching over him very closely from behind as he ran towards the intersection street. He didn't mind it and just continued running as fast as he could.
Meanwhile, in Bryle's situation, he covered himself inside his blanket and quivered like a scared squirrel on his bed. He prayed over and over, kneeling and begging for forgiveness. He prayed, "I won't say my life is boring anymore. Please, I don't want to die." The tears on his eyes kept falling.
After a few minutes of palpitating on his bed, he suddenly fell asleep as of too much exhaustion. Even in his sleep, he cried and called out for help. But inside his dream, it wasn't the terrifying werewolf he dreamed of, instead, it was the traumatizing experience of him from his childhood; the frightening sight of a belt slapping towards his face; the sudden punishment that no one expected, which was to kneel at those thumbtacks; and the continuous physical abusing of those poor children in the orphanage.
Bryle woke up from a nightmare he'd never wished to dream of. While he sweated all over and breathing harshly, he grabbed and tightly held his blanket as if the nightmare's keeping him unnerve. He tried to calm down himself first. But instead of calming down, he got his eyes circled as he saw a disaster.
Beside him was a small table with a group of random medicines on top of it.
"What the heck?!" He became even more shocked since a lot of drinking water bottles were scattered all over the floor.
He immediately sat up and checked how many medicines were topped on the table by counting them. "Why is there a lot?! I lost my count!" He scratched his head right after.
After standing up, he noticed a warm face towel fell down from his forehead. It was the towel that Jeremy put it for him when he fell asleep. But why would a bloodstain be there on the towel?
Before getting down from his bed, he noticed a leaf of paper beside these unorganized medicines. He picked it up and opened it after he realized it was a letter coming from Jeremy.
"Sorry, I was a bit late. I found you unconscious when I opened the door so I dragged you down from your door to your bed. I'm sorry I accidentally hit your head on the wall when I tried to lift you up. I didn't know what to do since your head bled a lot like A LOT so I bought you a lot of medicines too. I have no idea which medicine should I buy so I bought a lot of them. Don't worry, the medicines are free, you don't need to pay me. You don't have a fever (I think), so you can choose and take any of the medicines, just don't die Bryle. Right now, I'm repenting my sins for fortuitously bumping your head. I'm really really sorry, Bryle. I didn't mean it. If ever you wouldn't able to read this message, I assume you're already dead. Because dead cannot read (I think). I'll surrender myself to the police, and I'll take my responsibilities if ever you died. Bryle, I hope you forgive me. Your beloved friend, Jeremy."
It seems like an apology letter, huh. After reading the message, Bryle didn't know what to do or what to think. The only thing he did as of now was angrily crumpling the paper. He threw them into the floor and stamped them until it already looked so rotten. He got so annoyed and irritated by that jerk, Jeremy.
He thought his friend would be reliable enough to give him extra care but no, he just disappointed him. No wonder there's a stain of blood on the towel. It's from his.
Bryle looked at the wall Jeremy was talking about. It seems to be true. The blood was still there and it looked like a painting masterpiece since the blood got formed into a painting of an apple.
*Jeremy intended to put it this way. Apple is the short term for 'apologies'
He's even more pissed off and since Jeremy got him really mad, all of the sudden, Bryle punched the wall. His fist throbbed in pain so he blew it out and tried to ease the pain. It took minutes to get the pulsating sting away but now, fortunately, he's finally fine.
A few moments later, once he's ready to move, a strange thud hardly rammed outside of his door. The bumped sound gave him goosebumps, of course. But then, for him, he thought maybe it was Jeremy who came back.
Bryle furiously walked after the door and didn't hesitate to open it. "Hey, punk. You dare on gettin---"
He became speechless since the man who showed up in front of him fiercely gave him a deep kiss. It wasn't just a normal kiss for the reason that, for him, it's the kiss of something illegal. The tongue of this man went directly inside to Bryle's wet mouth and together, their lips glued respectively. The warmth they felt between their kisses became too hot and felt so good. It made him not to push the man away. The exact heat and the little amount of their slimy saliva must have already been enough to make the moment feels good. But for some reason, Bryle felt embarrassed and at the same time, it surprised him.
After the erotic kiss, the man fell off on the floor unconsciously. It was at this time that Bryle has discovered the continuous bleeding wounds, covered on this man's whole body. He wasn't just an ordinary man but this guy on the floor was exactly the same guy from what he saw on the street lately. The man-wolf.
He looked closely at the man and yes, he confirmed it for the second time. It could really be this guy. For sure, he knew that earlier, he wasn't able to clearly see this man's face seeing that the light was bugging from behind, but this time, now that he's looking closely at him, he seemed certain it was this guy from earlier.
He couldn't believe that his first kiss really took this man.
Then again, the fear immediately went on Bryle's nerves, making him unable to move. His deep terror went gone right after he noticed that the man-wolf who lied on the floor, was also shaking, but it wasn't because of something else, instead, it might be because he got hurt badly. At some point, a lot of scars and wounds were covering his whole body, and it does make sense.
"H-Hey, hang on!" worried Bryle, "Are you alright?"
This man-wolf's clothes were all torn up from head to toe, even though he didn't wear any shoes nor slippers. The huge size of his chest showed up and a lot of his bleeding wounds were still fresh. It's as if he got attacked by something. When Bryle took a glimpse at this man-wolf's wound on his biceps, he found out that having this kind of wound may be too dangerous for this man since the cut appeared to be so deep. He might die at this point.
"Hey! Answer me!" Bryle tried to wake him up but a single response didn't reach him. "Please wake up!"
After a moment of realization, Bryle stopped himself from waking this man-wolf up. "I forgot. He couldn't answer me seeing that he's unconscious."
