Work has been finished and my stomach is growling. I’d love to head to bed already but I need to feed myself or I might just suffer worse consequences later.

I don’t think I’ll be sleeping again tonight anyway. The sandman left me eons ago, such is the burden of being an adult.

Well, I might as well eat while there’s still some food left in the fridge.

I gathered some leftovers and opened the TV. Better to listen to something at this time of the night rather than be engulfed by the pure dread of silence.

Coincidentally, The Shining is playing. It really has to be that scene, huh?

That’s most probably true. Maybe I should try to relax more…
