They made sure to take everything that was important to them just in case but a lot of stuff was left behind.

They locked up securely and headed out to the truck, Alex was still struggling to come to terms with sharing a bed with Riley, which the other boy noticed.

He took Alex's hand and pulled him to a stop, spinning him around to face him with a questioning look on his face.

"I can tell you're still anxious about all of this and i want to reassure you, while we share a bed and a room i will never deliberately do anything to make you uncomfortable. If that means me sleeping on the sofa then so be it, i want you to be happy and feel safe while you're with me." Riley said softly.

Alex smiled gratefully, "It's okay, i know you wouldn't do anything to hurt me, i'm just kind of anxious since we'll be sharing a bed for the first time. Honestly, i've never shared a bed with anybody before." Alex admitted.

Riley just stared in adoration at the blatant display of trust he was shown.

"Thank you for saying that, it means a lot to me. Honestly." he managed to say after a moment of speechlessness.

They packed their things into the car, their hands never leaving each others until it was time to get in the car, soon to be rejoined over the centre console.

The pack house was bustling with people when the two finally arrived back, crowds of people standing around outside waiting for the inevitable speech from the alpha to address the crisis they currently faced.

the two hurried into the bhouse with their bags and Riley guided Alex to his room.

The bed sat in it's usual space, already made up by one of the pack members, but the rest of the room looked kind of bare, with Riley having moved everything to the cabin.

Riley's tv was being collected later that day and some of the other wolves were going to help move as much of their stuff in for them since the alpha didn't want to expose the two of them to any danger.

They unpacked what they had brought with them and sat on the bed, Riley laid back and sprawled a little, trying to relax.

Alex followed suit and laid looking into Riley's eyes, they laid there for a moment just looking at each other, before Riley reached over and took Alex's hand, brushing hid thumb over the other boys knuckles.

Alex smiled and closed his eyes, just enjoying the moment.

A soft knock at the door brought the boys out of their daze, they sat up, hands not leaving each others before Riley shouted for the person to come in.

A scowl was plastered across Amanda's face as she came in, glaring at Alex.

"Do you have a problem with my mate Amanda?" Riley growled.

Amanda was on guard duty the night of Alex and Riley's congratulatory feast so she was unaware of the fact the two of them were mates.

"Not at all sir, i was unaware of the fact he was your mate, i humbly apologise for my behaviour." she said softly.

"Good, now whats the problem?" Riley asked, apparently satisfied with Amanda's apology.

"The alpha asked me to let you know he would like to speak to you both." She said bowing her head.

"Why didn't he just pack link me? Why send you all the way here?" Riley asked.

"Um actually, i asked to deliver the message, i wanted to make sure you were okay, you know i've always thought of you as a kind of little brother to me. Now you've found your mate and it's only a matter of time until i have to stop thinking of you like that and start treating you like an adult and the prospect kinda scares me." Amanda revealed.

Riley didn't really like Amanda that much before but what she'd just shared explained a lot of things, like why she was so protective of him and prying about who he was spending time with and numerous other little things.

Riley came to a conclusion from that, he decided to give her a chance to be a friend rather than just another pack member.

"Thanks for caring Amanda, seriously." Riley said quietly.

Amanda smiled softly and turned to Alex.

"I'm sorry about how i treated you when we first met and again just now, as you know i'm the omega of this pack so i kind of feel protective of our territory and our members. I want to put that behind us and start over if we can." she said a pleading look in her eyes.

Alex nodded, a wave of relief washing over him.

"Thank you, it makes me happy that you'd give me a chance. I also want to thank you for taking care of Riley and making him happy." She smiled tenderly.

Alex flushed before replying "Of course, i will never let anything happen to him if i can help it."

Amanda nodded before excusing herself and heading off, closing the door behind her with a soft click.

"Well, lets go see Dad, see what he wants."
