Do you happen to have one of those days where nothing seems wrong but you just feel like it is? When you are not motivated? When you are simply exhausted? Mentally and not physically? Well, I think I've been very demanding in my book, telling you to do that or to feel this way, so I wanted to clarify something.
Rest is as important as work. You sometimes need to disconnect and be alone with yourself. You may feel like you can't do anything that day. So don't. Listen to your body. And your mind. Even the most hard-working people need breaks. You may feel guilty that you have a lot to do but decide to relax, but keep in mind: if you relax, you will work even better. There is nothing good about someone on the edge of sickness who keeps working. Just take care of yourself. So you can achieve more.
What can you do to relax, on a day like that? Do nothing special. Watch something on the TV, so your bad thoughts can disappear. Listen to some cheerful music that you like. Take a walk. Even around the house. Breathe some fresh air. Think about why you feel this way and try to fix it the next time.
Life is too short to be upset. But not everything is in bloom all year long. So don't expect yourself to do so. Get used to the thought that there will be days when you feel bad. Without forgetting that those bad days, actually help us see that most days are happy days. See that to know what happiness is, we must know sadness.
However bad it might be, just promise yourself that the next you will feel good and that you will do even more. Find something to keep you going. But feeling this way isn't wrong. It's a normal emotion. So don't blame yourself. Instead, focus more on taking care of yourself. Have you eaten? Have you taken a shower? Have you drunk enough water? Have you changed the bedsheets? Have you cleaned your room from dust? Have you opened your window, so that fresh air can come through? Take care of your well-being. If you have something on your mind, resolve it. I'm the type of person who can't focus on anything else if they have something on their mind, so I completely understand. Take your time thinking about it. And get it done.
So relax. Take your time to regain your energy and to find your strength. People differ at this kind of timing. So why not do it in your way? Just promise that you will keep going no matter what, and you'll be unbeatable. If you're going through hell, keep going. Why stop in hell? Aim for the heavens.
Don't think you can escape. Even if you have a bad day, saying what are you grateful for is even more important. It can light up your day a bit. So what I'm grateful for today ... Hard to say. I'm grateful that I had the chance to relax a bit. Before working even more. I'm grateful that my mind is thinking more about what I need to do, instead of focusing on what I had to do.
"Your wound might be your fault, but your healing is your responsibility" is my motto. This book is the actual proof of a human being struggling to survive, striving to become the best version of himself. It is my own journey towards loving myself, with details and situations I've been through, and the lessons I've learned afterward, with some pieces of advice as well. Love yourself!
