We had dropped Conner off almost ten minutes ago. We had settled into an uncomfortable silence. "Is Hollow's Kitchen a nice place?" I asked when the silence became to much for me to bear. "Very good. Their food is absolutely amazing!" Blake said. If I stared at him hard I could practically see the drool hanging out of his mouth. "I'll just have to trust you on this one." I said, sighing. Blake glanced at me quickly. We pulled into a busy parking lot. Blake turned off the car. He hopped out of the car and zipped around to my side to help me out. God, he could be such a gentleman at times. I mean who even helped women out of cars anymore? Not that I was complaining.
Blake led me to one of te doors of the fine establisment. Right above the door in neon blue and green letters were the words "Hollow's Kitchen", but one of the L's and an I was out so it looked like "Holow's Ktchen". We walked inside. It wasn't exactly fancy, but it wasn't normal either. It seemed bigger now that I was inside. There were multiple booths and tables all around. There was a bar in the far back and even a small dance floor. Most of the tables were filled by big groups of of people. I noticed most of the testosterone pumped beings were staring at me. I gulped down my nevousness and ignored them.
There were speakers suspened above our heads, which seemed like a real hazard to me. The speakers were ray and square. Laughter ran through the air. I overheard one table arguing over a soccer team. The food here was probably as good as Blake said, chewing could be heard all around. I mean the food did smell fantastic. Even though the air was plagued with the scent of alcool and was heavy with the sweat of too many bodies pressed up against each other.
Blake pulled me to a table. It only had 5 chairs and two people were already seated. I recognized De immediately. She had recently dyed her tips pink, so it was kinda hard to miss her (no matter how hard you try, and believe me I've tried). I sat across from De. "I see the dress worked. He can't seem to take his eyes off you." Carston taunted. "Well I am sexy as hell thanks to a very special friend." I purred. De grinned at me. "I saw the pics on your insta. Nice I almost wanted to steal you from him." De punched Carston in the arm. He winced. I tried desprately to keep myself from laughing and failed horribly. I chocked laugh forced it's way up my throat. I played it off as a cough and cleared my throat. "So what would you like to order?" A man asked. I leaned over. "Order for me, make sure you get a sprite or something." I whispered in his ear. He nodded. "We'll have 2 philly cheessteaks and a sprite for my lovely lady. Oh and a chocolate milkshake." Blake said. "Fries! Add fries." I said as sweetly as I could. The waiter grinned at me.
"Eyes off." Blake growled. I immediately got a sense deja vu. This is what happened with Jonah. Speaking of the devil Jonah approahed our table. "Hey princess. Your insta is blowing up." Jonah took the last chair at the table. I glared at him. Blake grinned instead. "Why is he here?" I hissed. Jonah frowned. "You'd think girls would be happier to see their exes." Jonah sighed. "You're an ex for a reason." Blake stared at me. Right. I didn't tell him. "So he's an ex?" Blake asked. "Yeah. . . It's ancient history." I sighed. "When?" Blake asked. "Freshman year into some of my sophmore year. It's really nothing." I groaned. "Nothing. Says the person who dumped me." Jonah said. If he spoke one more fucking time. I can't believe I used to love his voice. "Why'd you dump him?" De asked. "Him and his friends were picking on my brothers and he was very touchy. Not to mention this dudes a cheat." I hissed. I crossed my arms over my chest and tried to zone out. I had no happy place and things were not helping me get one.
"We can stop talking about it if you want." Blake whispered beside me ear. I felt the tension slide out of my body. "Yeah I would like that." I whispered. "So what do you want to do in the future?" Blake asked. "I want to go to school for art. Speifically the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York."
Blake stared at me. "You got it all figured out don't you?" I nodded my head. "If I don't get into that one I'll go to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago." I said. "Well how long do you think you'll last?" Joonah asked. The question was pointed to Blake. "Last at what?" Blake asked. "At being her boyfriend. She has he no sex policy and is so uptight." I glared at Jonah. "Can we just take the food to go? We should spend some time together . . . alone." I suggested to Blake. Blake grinned at me. "Sure."
Hi, I'm Jess. This is the story of how I nearly killed myself with embarrassment. And you're probably wondering how that happened. Well it went something like this....
