Invade the Verse

A Renewed Story, Part 1

A Renewed Story, Part 1

Mar 12, 2021

Space, the final frontier; or so they say... there's nothing here! Why is my mental landscape so null and void this time around? Oh, so that's how it is. The Verse is some type of black magic that blackened my soul; therefore, I went to hell! I suppose it's more appropriate to call it limbo instead.

Wherever I am, I had no control over my body as it drifted towards the horizon of nothingness. Slowly, I started to gain back my sense of feeling. I felt the attractive force surround my body. A strong amount of forwarding pressure was sent below my waist. It was as if I was getting squeezed out of something. Then, the force started to feel a lot fleshier and humid. A feeling of warm sliminess permeated my skin and my gradual sense of smell was immediately greeted with the scent of blood and other strange stenches.

Suddenly, a portal appeared in the distance, and out from it came two monstrous hands the size of planets. These hands rushed towards me and gripped onto my head before slowly pulling my body asunder. My body throes itself awake only to be immediately blinded by the light. I have never been exposed to this much light in my life. Also, is it just me or does my body feel a whole lot smaller?

"He's a beautiful baby boy!" Someone spoke in a foreign language behind me. After some time elapsed, my eyes eventually adjusted to the overwhelming radiance of light. Thanks to that, I began surveying my surroundings. In front of me, I saw a feminine figure lying on a white bed with splatters of red staining the sheets. She was a young fair-skinned brunette in her late 20s with a healthy, wrinkle-free face smiling towards me with fatigue visibly written on her face.

I found myself in some sort of sick room. The walls and ceiling were painted pale white while the floor was tiled in some type of polished white stone. The objects responsible for emitting the intense white light were on the ceiling, laid out in rows to illuminate the entire room. I attempted to move my body around. However, my body's movements seemed to be a lot more sluggish and strange. I contemplated in confusion before coming to a realization. Wait, I'm a baby now? Goddamnit! I haven't even graduated from my toddler stage and yet I'm back to Square One! I couldn't help but internally curse in grumpiness.

Two figures can be seen standing behind me. One of them was a woman in a doctor's getup while the other one was a middle-aged man with grey hair appearing in spots of his scalp. The old man came forth and cradled me in his arms. He rocked me back and forth and said in a gentle voice, "Hello, I am your daddy, little guy." I didn't understand most of what he said, but he definitely said "daddy" didn't he? Wait, hold on. Assuming my mother is the young brunette lying in bed over there, how the hell is this old man my father? What kind of perverted culture did I get myself into?

"I will name you, Ouya Benneton!" He stated.

"..." seems like I've just been given a Slappy-Dappy full name. Seems like they use similar honorifics in this world when addressing someone's name which helped me understand most of what he said this time.

"What do you think, Margaret?" He quickly said facing the brunette on the bed. I knew it, she was my mother. This is going to take a while to get used to.

"What a beautiful name, honey!" The brunet~ahem~my mother said back in the language I still perceive as gibberish.

I stayed there cradled in my father's arms as my parents have a friendly discussion with each other. Seeing how happy and peaceful they were made me feel a bit jealous for some reason. Then without warning, a torrent of memories sprung forth into my head.

"The winner is... Thomas Talon!"

"Your life story is their entertainment!"

"You are the hope of Lucia!"

As I recalled the memories from Mada. Tears welled up in my eyes, it seems that babies cannot contain their emotions well cause the next thing I know, I burst into tears and flailed around in my father's arms. My father tried his best to comfort me but my emotions were now beyond my control. My heart longed to see my former parents again. No, even though I was just conceived here, my parents from Mada are undoubtedly my real parents. During the scarlet storm, my parents should've still been in another world as one of their expeditions. Maybe, they're on this planet as I speak!

On that day, I cried myself to sleep. Oh, and I pissed on my father's arms. Classic.

After a few days, my mother was discharged. During that time, I picked up on words that were similar to my old language and started to pick up on some tidbits of information regarding my parents. My mother Margaret serves food for a living. I suppose she does not make much money since being a fast-food worker is a low-paying job in my city. My father Michael on the other hand... I don't know much about him since he usually speaks at a brisk, spitfire pace unless he's speaking to me. All I do know is that he has a boatload of friends and many of them hold important roles similar to a noble. Many of them visited us during our stay in the sick room.

We rode a carriage back home pulled by two quadrupedal ground-dragon creatures. It took about an hour to reach our home. It appeared that they prefer to live in the serene countryside instead of the bustling, crowded city area. I was carried in an intricately woven crib basket carried by my mother's arms. Her aura just oozes motherliness as she looked at me with a warm smile and mesmerizing azure eyes. A nice change after having to experience fearsome auras that made me almost shit my pants. Ugh, I almost let it rip just from remembering it.

Once we arrived, what I witnessed exceeded my expectations. It was a large, modern villa supported by sturdy steel beams and technologies I've never seen in Mada. The interior was designed with rustic, mahogany walls and marble pillars. The floor made from polished, ivory wood. As we entered the front entrance, there was a maid and a little boy and girl playing a board game together. They look about my age in Mada.

"Welcome back, my masters," The maid bowed towards us. She wore a traditional maid's outfit, but even a kid like myself could not ignore her looks. Light-skinned, silky smooth blonde hair that goes down to her shoulders, her chocolate brown eyes, a face that would make Aphrodite jealous and a well-proportioned figure. I'm glad that I'm not interested in girls right now or else I'll end up following my parent's footsteps with the huge age gap. Though, I'm curious what her breast milk would taste like.

Now that I think about it, I was so distracted by her that I did not realize that I actually understood what she said. Maybe learning a new language will not be so difficult after all. "Greetings, thank you so much for looking after them while we were at the hospital," my father said. Never mind, I stand corrected; this is going to be hell.

"Albert, stop playing right now and say hello to your new brother!" My mother demanded. Albert and the girl stopped playing and came to watch me as if I'm some sort of exhibit.

"He's so cute!" The little girl exclaimed. Damn, I stopped counting how many times someone said that in the sick room.

"Yea, cuter than you, Alice!" Albert teased. I could only assume that he was comparing my cuteness to hers judging by the sulky expression that immediately formed on her face. A slap struck his face; ouch, that probably hurt. That aside, her name is Alice... is she my sister?

Two more people entered the household. A man and a woman. They possessed similar features to Alice so I assumed that they're her parents. My parents and hers greeted each other. They picked up Alice and patted her on the head before conversing in gibberish. I could only assume they were saying things like "how's your day" or something like that. Before leaving, of course, they could not ignore me. Little baby me who belongs in a museum exhibit.

"Ah, he's so cute!" they squealed with funny faces. Ah... not again...

Once they left, our family finally got themselves situated. I was brought to a crib in my brother's bedroom. My mother came back to give me a bottle of milk which she assumably produced. Maybe being a baby again is not so bad after all! Having free access to my mom's milk. I stopped myself from drooling and drank it up.

Not long after, I regretted that decision. Inside my mouth, the milk was watery and tasteless but once it entered my stomach, I felt ill. It was like drinking milk from a dying goat that lived its whole life in a filthy manger. Seeing my mother watch me so intently, I went over my limits and suppressed my urge to throw up with every ounce of willpower I can muster.

Hey you, I know you're reading this. Don't. Tell. Anyone.

The majority of my time as a baby was spent in this crib: sleeping, crying, drinking questionable milk, and soiling my diapers. It really stings when I just barely mastered the art of bladder control in Mada only to start all the way from scratch.

My routine generally stayed that way for a while, and then two years passed.

I had many dreams of my former life in Mada, but they didn't hold much significance. That is, until that day. I found myself back in a place with a starry sky and a flat, reflective floor. Then a familiar, loincloth-wearing man greeted me.

"Yo."
